Quiet place. We were impressed by balcony with picturesque Himalayan view.
Linen were clean enough. No heating was compensated with 3 blankets.
One of few Dharamsala's hotels with wi-fi.
Helpful staff, very nice people. High-quality service.
Reasonably priced restaurant located on the top store with great view to all directions.

This is a wonderful place to stay . The view from my room was breathtaking. The Village of Naddi is so peaceful and just what we were looking for in the area. I was seeing Tibetan doctor and hotel took care of getting appointment time. The food here is wonderful and we enjoyed our rooftop meals. They do not have wireless internet and they do not provide heaters in the rooms. I got a heater on cold morning after many requests. I will stay here next year love it!

Dharmshala has to be experienced in Peace.
For long stay at Dharamshala one needs good home cooked like food which is available at SNOW CREST INN.
The staff is courteous especially the Manager.
The view of the mountains is great.
With DAL lake on the way from Mcleod Ganj it is a great place to stay with a home-like experience

We stayed there for two nights and experience was good. Hotel location is great at Naddi. There are three types of rooms, we stayed at the lowest price room. The view from room was not very good, the front road was viewable. Dhauladhar is viewable from roof top terrace restaurant, some of the rooms and balcony which is common for all the rooms.
All the doors of our room was not good, we needed to apply strong force to open or close them, they told that carpenter will soon come to fix it but he didn't come in actual. We stayed in the room only in night and morning time and was roaming around throughout the day, so it didn't become a major problem for us at all. There are plenty of hotel at Naddi, so no need to book in advance, some are also not listed in internet even but at very good location.
Private vehicle is always advisable to stay at Naddi, otherwise you need to come to Dal lake (1.5km but there are two shortcuts to reach there quickly) and take autos to go to Dharamsala or McLeodgunj. On way to return you can go directly to your hotel, autos will charge Rs.40 extra. Dal lake to Mcleodgunj is Rs.70.
Food was good but chickens at the entire Dharamsala region is not good, boiled type.
Staffs are friendly.

Though we booked 4 nights, we moved after 2. It is very remote, with nothing to do at night.
The highlight of our stay was sitting on our balcony, watching the village come to life in the morning. We were the only ones staying here at the time, which was somewhat uncomfortable. A guide took us on a hike, which was wonderful, as it was beautiful, peaceful and quite along the way into a village. The roads leading to Naddi Village were broken from the monsoons, making travel by car anxiety producing.

Snow Crest Inn is a wonderful and clean hotel situated in Naddi Village in Dharamshala.
The Manager, Mr.Vinod Tiwari is a courteous and helpful man.
My colleague and I had a splendid and very comfortable stay.
The food was as if I was having home cooked food.
Overall we had a pleasant stay and loved the view from our room.

The Snow Crest Inn is not in McLeod Ganj (Upper Dharamsala) but in Naddi, a village about 3 km up the hill. The views of the Himalayas is great in Naddi, but it is about a half an hour walk to McLeod Ganj to visit the buddhist monasteries. The hotel staff are very friendly, even though they don't always make the most competent impression. When checking out, we had a long discussion about the bill. The hotel does not have a heating system, and our room was heated with a space heater, which as it later turned out, we had to pay to use. This is a quiet and very scenic place to stay, but I imagine that there are better places to stay in McLeod Ganj proper.

Snow Crest Inn is not located in Dharamsla or Mcleod Ganj. It is located aproximately 4km from Mcleod Ganj up past Dal Lake in a town called Naddi. But this is no problem as it is only a short 140rs taxi ride into Mcleod Ganj. The views in Naddi are far superior to those in Mcleod. The staff are very friendly and helpful the rooms basic but adequate.

The rooms and facilities are really good. Food was good and cheap..and the people especially the manager is a nice person who would suggest you about places in and around dharamsala the room we stayed costs around 1600.. comfortable and service was good...Good people..only drawback "no Lift facility " so if ur taking elderly people book room in ground floor + IF YOUR TRAVELLING IN RAINY SEASON LIKE JULY-SEP MID IF THE ROADS ARE NOT GOOD i would suggest DO NOT PREFER THIS HOTEL since the hotel is located steep uphill with narrow slippery/broken roads for almost 9km since its in UPPER DHARAMSALA. when we went it was rainy season- full of mist not able to see the vehicles coming opposite and too risky journey in car. Suppose if the road is damaged /broken no other way to reach the hotel so PREFER HOTELS AT LOWER DHARAMSALA DURING RAINY SEASON. The hotel people have separate cab service to take for sightseeing ..Really good for a budget category..except the location which is far uphill so if ur visiting during winters/snow or summer this hotel is a good choice..

I would not visit this hotel again, in fact my friend and I booked for two nights but we ended up checking out after the first and getting something a little closer to the action in McLeodganj, Our taxi driver had a rough time finding the place and there really isnt anything to do in the area where the hotel is other than trek and meditate. The food was okay and the staff were very helpful, inf act a little creepy at time since they always wanted to be in our business whether we were in the lobby planning our day or eating dinner at their restaurant on the roof. The reason why I didn't like the hotel was the manager. We asked him several times about hiring a personal driver for the next day while we were there as well as bus tickets to Chakki-bank for the day we and he kept assuring us that he was busy and he would eventually get around to it. Well he never got around to it so we canceled our last day and checked in to another hotel.

I will give the hotel credit though since it is India and Indian standards are far different than western standards however there are a number of better places to stay in the area.

a real third grade hotel. i have never seen such a third class hotel charging such a high price. the location is average with no better view from the rooms. moreover rooms are congested. the staff members including the manager are inefficient to handle the guests. does not know the etiquette and norms to handle modern day hospitality. the quality and taste of food is very bad. mornings become dry with no supply of water for a long time. infrastructure is backward. i would never be here in the future and recommend nobody to be here.
