Excellent place to stay in Agra. The family who owns this place provides a very warm and comfortable feeling for all Guests which makes visiting Agra more enjoyable. They also provide excellent home cooked food which is very yummy and the hospitality is commendable. The price is very competitive and the rooms are very well maintained along with prompt service. I strongly recommend everyone visiting Agra to stay at this place and you are guaranteed go back to them in your subsequent visits.

Stayed here with a few friends in May.

Although its my own city I had to book a few rooms for a few friends who had come over to see the Taj and this was absolute VFM. Very very good service.

Even though we were making a lot of noise here, and kept bothering the staff and the owners - they did not seem to mind us at all.

Had excellent breakfast in the morning. They even arranged for transportation to the Taj at very nominal costs - saved me the bother of taking them :))

A nice B&B option in Agra and I would gladly say among the best location wise.

A walk from the station. 10 minutes by tuk tuk to Taj and 5 minutes to the main shopping centre.

What a delightful stay my sweetheart and I enjoyed in this wonderful, warm guest house! The owner and his family are warm and welcoming and made sure we spent a great time in Agra. They pick you up at the train station, and the personal service continues from there! Beautiful, clean rooms in a quiet location, and we even got a personal guide to help us enjoy Agra to the fullest. Amit, the owner, recommended his favorite restaurant to us (Maya) and it became our favorite too!
For a great stay in Agra, look no further than this charming, lovely treasure in a great location of beautiful Agra!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Rose Homestay after booking on the internet. Agra has a reputation for questionable accomodation........so we weren't expecting much. What a suprise to find such a great place. As agreed they collected us(no charge) from the railway station which is about 3minutes away. The room was nice, very clean and tidy. We had A/C, lots of hot water plus television. All for Rp650!! The owner Amit was very hospitable and semed a thoroughly nice guy. We enjoyed an excellent meal in the downstairs restraunt, plus the owner will arrange beers if required.
Furthermore the owner arranged his driver Jamail to take us on a full day tour of Agra, showing us all the sights and places of interest. Certainly better than trying to do it on your own. This for only Rp650, which we thought incredible value for the out of the way places we ended up seeing.

Not sure if some of the reviews below stayed at the same hotel???......we certainly thought it great and would recommend it to others. The hotel is not in the "heart" of activities, yet only 10mins in auto rickshaw from the Taj. It is very handy to Agra Cant station. So for a day or two on a budget this is a winner!

This guesthouse was very well run. The family that own the place were VERY hospitable and made us feel less like clients and more like friends. We were invited up for tea with the family which made the experience a true Indian one. this building is also located on a relatively quiet street (by Indian standards) and sleep was plentiul (even cable tv although we did not use it). The rooms were clean we everything we needed was provided promptly.

The food was atrocious. Dont even by mistake order food from them. There was a RAT in the hall who went crawling right upto the kitchen. We placed an order for butter chicken which was terrible. The room was very small and honestly not worth 700 INR. You can get a much much better place for the same amount walking distance from the Taj Mahal. This place is a DHARMSHALA and is not worth staying. Its like a HOUSE converted into a HOTEL. We booked a car from the hotel to see around in the city and made a trip to vrindavan for which he charged us 3000INR. We later came to know that it would take just 1500INR. The person cheated us with a child in his ARM and made us feel homely and took a double amount from us. PLEASE PLEASE take an advice and do not go to these crooks. He would rob you off your money.

We just returned from a day's stay at the hotel on December 29th. This place seems like a big house that has been converted into a Hotel.

We were attracted by the hotel website which had a photo gallery showing nicely furnished rooms and lobby. However, in reality the place was just the opposite. We had booked three deluxe rooms which cost us Rs. 715 per room but the rooms were in a shabby condition. The walls were in a dilapidated state, the bedsheets old and the bathroom was small with only Indian style toilet.

One of the rooms did not have hot water and the blankets provided in all the rooms were very thin and of low quality. When we asked for more blankets we were rudely told that there are none available. When we asked for a different room with warm water, we were told that all the rooms were booked, although prospective guests were being shown available rooms at night.

Though the hotel website advertises welcome drink and complimentary breakfast we were offered none. In fact, when we asked for tea in the morning we were told that the cook was not available.

The lobby is not as it looks on the website, the furniture looks old and tattered.
