Namaste Yoga Farm really live up to all the good reviews on Tripadvisor. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every bit of it. The guesthouse is beautifully located in a quiet area on the hill with just a few minutes walk to Kudle beach. The hosts Olive and Luisa are very friendly and helped us with everything we possibly needed for this amazing weekend.

If you want to spend time relaxing and just having a quiet holiday, this is the place to be. We also tried yoga for the first time, the amazing yoga teacher Luisa taught us the basics in yoga and we loved it!

The newly renovated cottage we stayed in was great, everything was tidy and clean. We heard the ocean waves and enjoyed the beautiful surrounding garden from the yoga deck.

We highly recommend Namaste Yoga Farm and will definitely stay there if we go back again.

We booked and reserved my cottage 4 month in advance, because my friend who was staying there told me it is recommended since they have only 7 cottages in this awesome green and well manicured park. When i arrived with my partner the cottage was ready with fresh bedsheets and linen.

What we enjoyed most was the peaceful nights. You can hear the sound of the ocean from Kudle beach and walking to Gokarna is only 10 min. Between every cottage is enough space so you dont hear the talks in the neighbouring cottages. The cottages are about 6x4 meters with lots of light and all have attached bath room. Our cottage even had his own yoga deck which we used as a hang out space.

Oliver and Luisa are great hosts and if you need any help with anything those are the guys to ask. We definetely come back next year.

Location... awesome, Hosts.... awesome, Food.... awesome.

Gokarna is a bit difficult to get to, but that is what makes it soo special. There is a buzz in the air when you are there and the rest of the world seems to melt away from your consciousness. Tea, Yoga, meditate, breakfast, relax, lunch, relax, Yoga, meditate, relax, dinner, sleep. A day in the life at the Yoga Farm.

I stayed in cabin 5 and LOVED it....

You can make this trip anything you want.. More of less yoga, hiking, reading... what ever you want. Dont forget the monkeys in the trees. We met some of the greatest people in the world in one of the most beautiful places in the world. I am planning my next trip now.

The manager Oliver is running the farm in an excellent manner, very friendly and offering visitors a lot of activities. And one of them is chess which attracted me personally. Oliver runs a chess club and organises frequent chess tournaments, i had an honour to participate at one of them.
The prices may seem a little high, but one can not see so beautifully mantained garden around, everything is so green and the whole atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly.

one of the places i long to go back to. nice bungalows next to a farm, with wonderful gardens between them. frogs and geckos in the rooms keep the moscitoes away, monkeys on the roof are sometimes noisy (i love them) ... a terrace overlooks the lovely kudlee beach (5 min to walk), another one is the meeting place, where drinks and vegetarian food is served (takes some time, but is excellent: probably the best pineapple fritters on earth). what makes this place special is the friendly people who run it. the german manager and his spanish girl friend are expert yoga teachers and offer morning lessons for newcomers and courses for the serious crowd. i can't imagine a better way to start the day!

I am a frequent visitor to Namaste Yoga Farm.. My good friends Maya n Monhar used to call it Namaste Paradise Farm!!.. When I look back I could say that I have spend the best days of my life there. The director Oliver (Yogi) and his girl friend Luisa (Artist) are two amazing people to get to know.
I got my first lessons of yoga from Oliver ,in his beautiful Yoga deck, with the Ocean sound and Green all around.!! Today I am Yoga Teacher !! Thanks to Nameste Yoga Farm for showing me the way.
The rooms have its own Yoga deck , huge and spacious, and its uniqe design makes you feel more closer to nature. In some rooms you could lie down in bed and watch the moon throug a little glass window on the ceeling, and many unique little suprizes like that.
The Yogi Breakfast is a must have , with home made Tofu and the works!!!
Chill out all day in the hammock, lazing around or play a game of chess or have an early day doing Yoga asanas.
NYF is in a perfect location where you are not too far from the Temple town Gokarna and you are just a walk down to the best beach Kudle.

I'd a quality time!

Oliver is a great teacher & host, also the staff were excellent, always happy, caring & on it.

The place is located in a spectacular spot, were you can see the whole Kudle beach. Also the diversity of nature is phenomenal, lot's of different kind species. I was very surprise, specially one day when I saw a HUGE black & white bird from Oliver's tree house, I don't remember the name, but it's one of the most stunning, peculiar and pretty birds I've ever seen.

The room are great! and with a spectacular view & design too. Very comfortable and functional! you can do Yoga, give massages & hang out with friends.

The food is very good too! very healthy!

I'd a lovely & memorable time in there, I can't wait to go back and do some Yoga, climb trees & contemplate that gorgeous place!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Love,live,laugh & learn!

Had a wonderful time at Namaste Yoga Farm, enjoyed the yoga and the beach and the rooms are very spacious and clean and the garden is totally peaceful. Our hosts Oliver and Louisa were fantastic and I really enjoyed the yoga with them. Would recommend to anybody wanting to do a yoga retreat in India.

I knew of Namaste Yoga Farm from previous years in Gokarna, but never had the pleasure of staying there. It was very easy to deal with Oliver and very simple to reserve our accommodation in advance. Our purpose for staying on Cuddle Beach was to devise a circus show which we will be performing to disadvantaged children around India. We had an ideal training space and our cottage had direct access to the path leading down to the beach. In every aspect Namaste Yoga Farm has been the ideal spot for us. I am most grateful to Oliver and the rest of the team.

Namaste Yoga Farm, nestled in the southwest jungle of India, is simply magical. The director and rest of the staff are warm, friendly and super helpful. They make you feel right at home. I chose the retreat option where I had yoga every day plus my meals included. This was a killer deal! Food was local and freshly prepared...simple but very delicious and made with love ;-)
It's a 3 minute walk to Kudlee Beach where you will see the most intense and vibrant sunsets every day. Several restaurants line the beach as well. It's a 30 minute hike to world famous Om Beach. It's a short rickshaw into the town of Gokarna which is it's own fantastic experience! Local food and shopping are available and your money goes REAL FAR there. Breakfast? Less than $2 US dollars. Silk dresses? $4 US dollars.
The yoga was a blend of hatha asanas with meditation and deep breathing exercises offered in an outside studio where you can hear the beach below. I started my day with a hot cup of green tea and then yoga! It was divine!
The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. In fact, the entire grounds were impeccably clean. As a solo woman traveler, I always felt safe there, in town and on the beaches.
This place is seriously amazing and I plan to go back in March 2011 :-)
You won't be disappointed as this place is SERIOUS VALUE with AAA service and an AMAZING location.
TIP: Oliver, the director, can arrange your 3 hour taxi ride from Goa airport to Namaste Yoga Farm. Do this as it's WAY convenient.

We stayed with Oliver last year for 4 days and would have loved to stay longer as this is one of the most remote and relaxed places I've ever been. Beautiful and lovingly furnished bungalows (ours integrated a big rock in the wall and made it look like a part of the surounding nature) with your own yoga loft. The service was amazing. We did arrive at 3 in the morning at the train station and Oliver did organize a Taxi for us to pick us up and waited to let us in (He didn't charge us that night). Neither did he wanted any money for the Yoga classes we attended every morning (so we put some money in his donation box) or the Yoga book we got. The breakfast was excellent (Best porridge I've ever had) and reasonably priced as are the restaurants you find at the beach. The Beach is a 5 min footwalk down a little path (the reverse way will take you 10 min as you have to walk uphill and the path is quite steep). Don't forget to bring your torch! The beach is really nice, not crowded and the restaurants have good Seafood. Before we left Oliver did organize our transport again, so thanks for everything man!! We definitely come back!

We stayed at the Namaste Yoga Farm in December 2010. We originally stayed for 2 weeks, and extended the stay to 4 weeks. We stayed in a cosy hut on the mountain, overlooking the sea. We often ordered our food in advance and it was bought to our room for us if we asked. We awoke in the morning to the sounds of a Yogi chanting Om Nama Shiva, in a nearby cave. I could do private Yoga by arrangement with the staff, as the Yoga class pre-bookings were not full due to Christmas time. We walked to the beach every day which took about 10 minutes and ate at the Spanish Place restaurant for lunch. I will come back again soon, and Isha our 3 year old daughter says hello to all of the staff, who made a special effort to look after her during our stay. Thanks again, Steve, Melina & Isha from Australia.

Oliver and Luisa were absolutely fantastic to us from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, couldn't find any functioning ATMs in Gokarna, and needed them to stump up for our rickshaw to the train station. (Thanks, guys.)

The cottages are quite basic but scrupulously clean. (Mosquito net over the bed, fan in the room, bring your own soap/loo roll.) The setting is so quiet and peaceful that you feel relaxed immediately. And it's only a short walk downhill to the beach.

We didn't manage to fit in any yoga classes but maybe next time... One other thing, this is not to be confused with Namaste on Om Beach, a smart restaurant with rooms. Namaste Yoga Farm is at Kudle beach.

Would definitely recommend it - just make sure you have enough cash!

If you love nature, you’re gonna love this place! I rented a room in August-Sept 2011, when it was and it’s greenest best. All rooms are well ventilated have a good view of the Kudle Beach. Don’t be surprised to find squirrels playing in your room when you wake up in the morning to the sound of chirping birds, the sea and a gentle breeze. The facilities are pretty basic, but don’t expect much for Rs. 500 a day! With no TV, internet, and mobile network (except Vodafone), it is the ideal escape from the maddening pace of city life.

We stumbled upon Namaste Yoga farm by accident, and ended up staying for four weeks. We stayed in a well-crafted bungalow in a quiet garden setting, 5 minutes away from the Beach. We joined in with Oliver's 90 minute morning yoga classes 5 days a week. The bed was comfortable, and we were grateful for the mosquito net. We had a private bathroom with a western toilet, and a cold water shower. We had a menagerie in our bungalow- finding frogs on our light switches, and geckos in the bathroom.

The yoga classes are very good for beginners, and include a lot of meditation and breathing. Oliver also does a good job of showing easier modifications and emphasizing that even if you can only reach one millimeter further than the day before, you are experiencing progress, rather than trying to push people into a position that would injure them.

The downside is that the Namaste Yoga Farm has no restaurant, so you have to hike either down or up the hill to get food. Also, it is more expensive than the bungalows by the beach. However, we thought that the peace and privacy were worth it.

The villas are in a lovely, lush environment and you feel tucked away from the busy aspect of the beach (even though you can still hear the ocean from your room witch is lovely!).
The villa we were in was a bit pricey for the cleanliness/condition it was in but maybe that was just the one we were in. Others looked amazing.
The owner's were really helpful and organised a taxi for us from Goa airport to Namaste Yoga Farm. They just helped make our travels stress-free (which is nice in India!).
I would definitely recommend Namaste Yoga Farm.

A very chilled place in the middle of a beautiful garden stretching from the sea side all the way up the hill. Leave your stress, worries and doubts behind its door and relax. It is worth it. Traveled solo and met great people in there! You might be able to get cheaper rooms down the road but Namaste Yoga Farm is safe and secure and you always feel that there is someone around to help if you need it, i do not regret a minute paying a bit more to get this feeling! I do not think you would either, especially if you travel solo and want to have a safe deal.

I stayed at Namaste Yoga Farm for 2 weeks on my own. It is a really beautiful and special place. My cottage was lovely - really calm and quiet. A great place to re-charge your batteries and rest. It is about a five minute walk to the beach, which I liked, as it was much quieter up at Namaste. The place is more expensive than most of the places on the beach, but you get for what you pay for and it really is worth it. The cottages are set in a luscious green landscaped garden which is taken great care of by local workers.

I did yoga every day with Oliver and Luisa and found the lessons to be very good. I have to say - I felt better in the two weeks I stayed at Namaste, than I have felt in the last two years! Starting the day with a relaxing yoga lesson under the trees is bliss. I would definitely recommend this place.

I have travelled India before and know what you should get for R1500 per night... a very clean, full comfort and well looked after accommodation. Apart from the outside tropical gardens which are truely beautiful the cottages are in bad condition. The shower and toilet in our cottage was falling apart and have not seperate roof. This means if you share a cottage you hear your friend doing their business in the morning. You litterally shower onto the toilet, therefore you need to dry the seat after each shower before you can use it. Some cottages are half open without glass in the windows and it can get very cold in the early morning hours. The owner was rude and unhelpful on our arrival just interested in making more money. When we booked he said there would be breakfast which there wasn't. He said that our cottage would have ocean views. None of the cottages at Yoga Farm has ocean view. In the description of our cottage on the website it says we would have our own tropical garden... again there was no garden that belonged just to our cottage. In summary, a lot of lies and run down accommodation for a very high price. For this standard maximum R250 per night would be justified. We left after one night and found a basic but cosy hut directly on the beach for R100 per night with helpful welcoming people.

we stayed here for 3 nights instead of 3 months, the site is represented on google earth as on the beach when its really on a steep slope on the mountain side, I had informed the owner Oliver that i wanted to study yoga to cope with my terminal lung disease, ialso said that my physical mobility was limted but ok with patience. We paid 1150 Euros to his german account on 15/11 & arrived as planned on 20/11. It was plain that this was'nt possible for me to stay as it was to steep for me. My carer spent the next 3 days finding us another place to stay and having to bring food up from the beach for me, we only saw Oliver twice more and that was for him to tell us absolutely no refunds. Judge for yourselves!!
