I recently spent 2.5 weeks at the Lemon Tree so I got to know it very well. Everyone here treated me like family and it was a very comfortable bed. I was only 5 minutes away from my work and everyone from the drivers to the doorman always had a smile and a welcome. The food was also very good - and a good deal: the breakfast and evening meals are complimentary off of the buffet. I also had some amazing tahi curry and the chef and manager were kind enough to leave me a note asking if there was anything special that I would like to make me feel at home. Santosh in the Cirrus cafe always antipated what I wanted, and when I went into the bar in the evenings to unwind with a beer, I didnt have to say anything, I was poured a Kingfisher and brought a bowl of my favorite snacks. I've been a road warrior for 25 years in many countries and have never experience this sort of hospitality. In short - I highly recommend to anyone doing work in the IT area. Its the best value and you won't be disappointed in the service.

By western standards, this is not the prettiest hotel, but, this hotel certainly meets the needs of the business travel and delivers outstanding service.
I travel frequently on business and this hotel sets the standard for customer service.
The rooms are spacious, well designed and very clean. The internet connection is excellent, the restaurant is excellent. The hotel staff seems to know you immediately and responds to your needs before you ask. When I would arrive at the restaurant in the mornings, Santosh would greet me and bring me black coffee (before I asked!) and ask if I was having my usual breakfast order. (all of the food and beverage staff are excellent). After breakfast I would head to the lobby where the security staff could see me through the glass wall of the lobby and they would immediately arrange for a car to bring me to the office (once again, without my asking). My driver (Sagar was one of many) would deliver me to my office and promptly arrive to pick me up in the evenings. This hotel treats every guest as a VIP.
The only non-perfect thing (for me) was the firmness of the mattress (I prefer a softer, pillow top), but, that's a personal preference :-)

This was my first trip to Pune and I had the pleasure of staying in the Lemon Tree hotel. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate me. 2 individuals I would like to personally commend are Nelson the Assistant Manager and Santosh Kashid in the Citrus Lounge. Both were very engaging and a pleasure to interact with.

One recommendation for non-smoking travelers, be sure to request a non-smoking floor. If you are booked on a smoking floor and wish to change, just ask anyone at the front desk and they will make the change without issue.

We have been staying in this hotel for last couple of weeks and I must say what a pleasant stay it has been so far!

The service is brilliant and the staff are pleasant and and i am touched by the personal service they provide. 'Pulok' in the bar makes one of the best cocktail in the town and 'Santosh' serves the breakfast in the morning with smile and remembers the fact that what we have everyday.

Chef Mangal has prepared us special dishes to our requests and despite being swampes by all the other food he has to prepare for the others he always takes interest on what we wish to eat.

We feel this is a five star service at a very reasonable rate and the rooms are clean plus comfy beds with a quality wireless internet on the go. A perfect place for the businesspeople. If you are just visiting pune and you wish to chill out then they can advise you where to go and arrange taxi to the city.

We can't thank you for your hospitality and the warm welcome we received. You truly made us feel home.

After getting a promotion, I was choked to death by my office colleagues to give them a party. Being a month-end, I was thinking where should I take these hungry guys....

Turns out, that the sofisticated hotel "Lemon Tree", is a bit light on pocket as well. The person who arranged the entire party for us, "Nelson" was very helpful in arranging seats and after a good bargain, we struck on a deal.

The food is excellent, the ambeince is pretty cool and ultra modern. But the killer was the dessert section. Piping hot Kala Jamuns, yummy Chocolate Cake were just tantalizing.

Kudos to this hotel for great food, great ambience and great service.

The reception, room service, housekeeping, restaurant staff were professionally trained and understood the requests made.
The rooms have a modern and comfortable design. Cleanliness, all working equipment kept and good air conditioning.
Best part was the breakfast buffet wherein food specialties from North, West, Continental and South were available to suit pallet and variety especially if you are staying for 3 days or more.

A clean hotel that believes in customer satisfaction. I expected something befitting the Lemon Tree brand and was satisfied completely. The indoor Citrus cafe served up a sumptuous dinner completely customized to my tastebuds (no spices etc). Next morning the breakfast I had in the patio outside together with the cool Pune morning breeze is etched in my memory.

Considering that business trips are fraught with their usual challenges, Lemon Tree Pune made me feel at home, rested and therefore able to cope with everything else quite well. Thanks.

I recently traveled to Pune on business and had stayed in Lemon tree. The entire stay was a pleasant experience. The staff are courteous and help you in settling down. The rooms are well appointed and meets all your business needs. There are no frills in the room and the rates are nominal. The buffet breakfast is wholesome and the taste is also good. I had a specific medical need and the staff took very good care.

I would recommend any one travelling to Pune to stay in Lemon tree Hinjawadi. Its proximity to the IT offices makes it even more comfortable.

This hotel helped me to forget a little all the bad things that happened to me during my staying in India. I felt very welcome and they did their best to help me with everything I asked for. I was having some problems with the food in India, especially because I eat food not spicy at all, but the great cook they have managed to prepare something very good and tasty for me, all the days I stayed in. The rooms were beautiful and I appreciated a lot mine. They also have a very good strategy for convincing guests to upgrade rooms and I didn't regret any penny that I paid in plus (not to much also), as I got a very large room, even better equipped, plus more hours access to internet and complementary meal and laundry services every day. The restaurant is very cozy and I enjoyed a lot the humor and anecdotes spread all around. Even the music was very nice, International one, and very good one. The manager was very nice, polite and helpful. Same for the staff everywhere, in the reception, in the restaurant, housing, drivers. If I ever come back to India, I will only stay in Lemon Tree hotels, as I learnt they have a good network , in all the important cities of India. Thank you all for making my staying a pleasure.

This is a one of our favorite places. Been here at least 4 times. The place like its name has a very fresh feel to it. The freshness extends to the staff uniform, the cleanliness, the sit out,the restaurant as well as the room and the bathroom....
The staff is cheerful and helpful. The best part of the stay is always the room. It is spacious and clean fully self contained with a microwave oven as well as the tea/coffee maker.
The theme of freshness extends to the bathroom supplies as well...
They also have some witty lines framed on the corridors which makes the walk to and from the restaurant interesting....
It is a great place If you want to just get away from the hustle-bustle of city life....
We love it here and look forward to our next visit.

The Lemon Tree in Hinjawadi, Pune was our first stay in India, and being on business we wanted an efficient service as we were only in country for 2 days. They organised our airport transfers from Mumbai to Pune and all of our taxis to and from our clients and around Pune centre for sight seeing and shopping. The beds are amazingly comfortable, the rooms extremely well presented and the restaurant and bar excellent both in terms of service and the food and snacks they produced. We didn't manage to sample the gymn and pool in the short stay! Overall, a very welcoming and comfortable place to stay and reassuringly competent for a first time visitor to the area and/or India.

The hotel is located outside Pune proper and quite far from the airport, which can play a role depending on why you're visiting and the time of day you need to be someplace. If the location suits your needs however, then look no further. This is all a business hotel should be: no-frills but competitively priced, top notch service, efficiently organized, very clean, good internet connectivity and a good bed in a quiet room. The dining options are also very good as is the breakfast although the emphasis there is heavily on south indian food and western options are limited. The staff were unfailingly polite and very efficient, which makes for a refreshing change from some other (and more expensive) places I've stayed.

I am frequent traveller to PUNE on business, after all a hectic day , The pleasent aroma of LEMON fresh fragrance welcomes us in the reception, the entire crew will take care personally starting from reception to roomservice, i never heard a word "NO" from any one for the queries requested since past 6months of my stay.

Also restaurant is too good and people from south india can get the customised dinner (Rice & Samber ) from special persons like Mr.Adithya & Mr.Sharad, who carry smile on their face everytime , another person Mr.Vikas provides the breakfast which is not in the buffet list, So totally i felt homely and they have become my friends as well,

Driver Umesh is another personlity who maintains timemanagement, and knows the shortcuts during urgent airport drops (from Pirangut to Airport in 30Mins) and he knows the history of PUNE where we get all the info on the roads, old buildings etc.

its Worth for money

TOTALLY enjoyable stay everytime, so for me PUNE means LEMON TREE.

I'm smiling now and I would like to turn back the time, just to be one more time there.
... it all started with a business trip, like many others I had before (to USA, France, Germany), without expecting something special. But this trip was completelly different than the other ones. This time my stay was AMAZING and this not only because of my nice room, ... or the great food, ... or the swimming pool. This was because the hotel stuff make me feel like HOME ! They always smiled to me and gave their best to make me pleased. Great, great services!
My special thanks to Mr. Saurav - hotel manager (friendly/ showing me the indian culture/ having always a good word and the best tips for me) and Mr. Shabir - taxi driver (very good driver/ always punctual/ with great sense of humor and very polite): they were my best friends for my entire stay. Thank you for that!
Many thanks to:
Mr. Rupesh - assistent manager (friendly, giving me good tips and taking care of all my requests);
Mr. Ketan & Mr. Rohit - waiters (always finding a free table and providing the best tips when chossing the food, ... really delicious food);
Mr. Mayur - the housekeeper (keeping my room clean every day <by the way, the cleanest hotel room I ever had>, making amazing "animals" using towels, and writing small letters to show that I'm welcome and he is happy and greatfull to have me there);
Mr. Nabo, Mr. Kanan & Mr. Nelson (I have rarelly seen such a professional & friendly reception team);
Mr. Sagar - second taxi driver;
All Security persons and All employes posted at the entrance (protecting and welcome with an honest smile the clients).

If I'll have to go to Pune in future, for sure I will choose Lemon Tree again !

KUDOS to the management & the entire team at the property for having a fine establishment going. Have stayed at several hotels over the year, haven't come across a hotel which has left a mark as this one did..!!

From the point of check-in to the in-room experience to the f&b until the check-out, the entire experience was 'par excellence'...!! KEEP IT UP GUYS.

The location, which perhaps is the advantage for people coming to Pune for the IT business (since it's located amidst the big IT company offices), turned out to be the disadvantage for me, since my work involves visiting my customers in the brick & mortar industries, located in the older industrial hubs of Bhosri, Akurdi etc.

However, whenever i'm next at Pune, will surely end up again at Lemon Tree for sure.

A fellow colleague had recommended this hotel as a clean hotel with an excellent restaurant, lounge, and convenient to our office in the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park. The hotel exceeded all my expectations.

Every aspect of my lodging experience was nothing short of wonderful. Everything from the airport pickup to the final trip to the office was handled in a thorough and professional manner by a kind and caring staff. Every person I came into contact with greeted me with the appropriate saluation for the time of the day and asked if I was enjoying my stay. The most impressive thing was the front desk clerk who checked me in always greeted me by name, remembered when I needed to leave for the office, and made me feel like I was a VIP in the hotel. Every request was handled promptly (ironing board, power converter, etc.).

I also enjoyed the DVD library and the opportunity to just relax and watch a couple of movies from their collection...something that I don't get to do at home too often.

I will definitely be staying at this hotel on my next visit to Pune!

They had buffets so we could taste a variety of Indian foods we would not otherwise know about, while at the same time there was a huge menu selection to choose from. They also have American foods if you feel need to have the basics. There's a beautiful bar with a pool table, a dart board, and hip music for added fun in the evenings. The pool was fresh ad clean and large towels were provided with ample seating including chaise louges. The exercise room was well equiped and the business center was complete. We all would stay at this location again for sure. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!! PS If you hire one of their drivers, be SURE and ask for Rahul. He's the best!! What was truly amazing was the fact that the staff would very willingly go above and beyond their normal responsibilities to make sure that their guests were happy and provided with all the information and service necessary to make our stay as smooth as possible. For example, arranging car service through the hotel (it actually seems they have their own fleet of vehicles) proved to be extremely efficient and a very positive experience.

This hotel is a great place to stay, they go that extra mile to make sure your as comfy as possible, it seems to be a favourite of ex-pats, and westerners.
The barstaff, have a knack of making you feel at home, the bar comes complete with playstation, pool table, and even a swimming pool besides it.
The citrus cafe, has a 24 hour menu, that would put many of the so called 5 star hotels to shame, I recommend the bar-be-que, or the baby leg of lamb, awesome, or just ask the chef to surprise you.
The management really welcome you, and want to make sure your stay is as pleasent as possible.
A special mention to Rahul, the driver, who has an excellent command of English, and is great to have a conversation with, another Jewel, of this hidden Jem of Pune.
Staying in hotels, and traveling all the time, this in terms of service and comfort, is one of my most favourite hotels, in the BRIC countrys, it doesnt need marble lobbys, and lavish furnishing, it just needs to be as it is, Great service, new modern furniture, and a fantastic choice of food, and drink.

This review was for my third stay at the Lemon Tree this year. As always – the service was top notch and the Lemon Tree staff completely went out of their way to make me feel at home. There are honestly too many names to mention but some of my favorite L.T. workers were Bushan, Prealee (front desk worker), Naveed (worked at Citrus) and Rupesh (L.T. manager). These staff members really stood out in my mind for their top customer service.

And of course… no Lemon Tree stay would be complete without the assistance of driver Rahul. Rahul works for a driving service that the Lemon Tree uses and he always makes my stay in India very insightful! His English is impeccable and I always feel very safe riding with him. Not only that – but the fact that he’s grown up in Pune he’s an excellent driver to take you sight seeing. He is always pointing out different things in Pune that a tourist might be interested in seeing.

I had a wonderful man (Sandeep) who kept my room remarkably clean and left me the cutest little animals made from the towels. Caton, Anthony and everyone in the Citrus were so wonderful. All of the staff in the Slounge were so accomodating and always remembered what each of us drank and they played the music that we like. Everyone treated me and my fellow co-workers like royalty. I would staff with them again. Thanks for making my stay in India so pleasant.

We were in Pune for the Commonwealth Youth Games and experienced the wonderful service of the staff at Lemon Tree, specially those who were at the restaurant and front office. They went to great length to make our stay a memorable one. I tried hard to remember their names but unfortunately it has now slipped my mind. I want to make a special mention of the guy who checked us in & a few others at the Restaurant whose service was exceptional & continued to be so through out our week long stay. They catered to all our requests/requirements & were very obliging to the point of being spoilt. Nothing was impossible they simply adhered to every single request with a smile.Thank you your friendly service which exceeded all expectations made the difference...

We were on the 6th floor in a suite which was very spacious and plush. You enter into a tastefully designed sitting room with T.V a small dining table for 4 & a little pantry complete with a microwave. This room led to the well laid out bedroom with T.V and all the amenities . It was very comfortable and heavenly to come back to after a tired day.

Thank you everyone for a delightful stay. We loved your Hotel.

I've been at the Lemon Tree for over four weeks. The staff is attentive, professional, and polite. My stay has been wonderful.

The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. The restaurant has the best food I have found in or near Pune. The chocolate mousse is exquisite (not too sweet and very light). The buffet meals (breakfast and sometimes lunch or dinner) are fantastic. The food presentation is beautiful.

For incredible service, comfort, and food, definitely consider the Lemon Tree Hotel Hinjawadi.

I was a little apprehensive about traveling to India for business for the first time. But from the moment I stepped through the front doors at the Lemon Tree I felt like I was at home away from home. ALL of the staff at this hotel definitely make it worth the stay. They were constantly checking with us to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted. Special Thanks to Sachin for keeping my room spotless, to Bhushan, Anthony and Naved in the Citrus for always knowing how I like my coffee and eggs. To Swapnil and Vinayak in the Slounge for knowing to leave the ice bucket, to Rupesh for helping to make travel arrangments to the Taj Mahal, and of course the fantastic driver Rahul who always had a smile and a nice word for everyone. I don't know if I will ever travel to India again, but if I do the Lemon Tree is the place for me.

This is my thrid time staying at the Lemon Tree Hotel in Pune. When I stay I am there for 3 weeks each time. Being away from my home and family is tough so staying at a hotel like the Lemon Tree makes my transition away from home a lot easier. The staff at the Lemon Tree is Great. This is not a 5 star hotel however you get five star treatment. Actually, I feel you get better, more personalized treament than you get at a five star hotel.

Everyone at the front desk are always eager to help with a smile. It amazes me how they always remember my name...Hello to Kamal who has the same name as my jeweler at home(smile)!

My Slounge buddies, are the best. Viniyak, Nit, Sweetie (couldn't pronunce Sweetie's name but he knows who he is) I know I am forgetting a few people, however, all those that work in the Slounge are way more accomodating than the normal. They make my stay at the Lemon Tree pleasant. The Slounge is a nice homey bar that has a magical way of taking away stress...some say it is the Tequlia, Old Monk and Vodk....LoL ... I say it is the people and atmospher that the Slounge possesses. Also, Thanks to Buchon and Viniyak for my pool lessons...When I visit the Slounge I am "JUST FINE"!

The Citrus Cafe employees are also Great. Chef Dipon is a wonderful cook and is willing to listen to what his guest want to eat. He recognized that on an extended stay some people need more of a variety of foods to eat and Chef did just that. He created a new menu and I felt like the new menu was created just for me...(smile) ! Buchon, Anthony, Naved, Prashant ( I know I am forgetting names...please forgive me) and to all of the staff at the Citrus Cafe; thank you for your kindness and wonderful service, You all make my stay in India such a wonderful experience.

Rupesh, I have to say that you are a really good manager. You not only manage the hotel well, you manage your guest well. You have put up with all kinds of request and wants and always make whatever I desire happen. I remember accidently calling your office, thinking I was calling the front desk for a car to pick me up from work. You recognized my voice and made the call to the front desk yourself. I was picked up from work with no problems. Thank you so much for taking the time to do that for me. You always make sure you come over and speak when you see me whether I'm in the slounge, lobby or Cafe. You always took the initiative to come over and make sure I have what I need while staying at the Lemon Tree. Also, on my last trip I traveled home alone. I was a little nervous being by myself but I knew I could get to the airport and board my plane regardless. To my surprise Rupesh is calling the driver to check on me...that really touched my heart and I was able to settle my nerves of traveling alone at that point...Thank You Rupesh, that meant a lot to me!

Gurav is quiet, but when I needed salt and pepper shakers to take to work he had no problem accomodating me. I was laughed at all the time when I pulled those salt & pepper shakers out of my purse. Thank You Gurav!

I didn't get to see Shaleen the Sales Manager as much on this trip. However, as soon as he saw me he was full of smiles welcoming me back to India and the Lemon Tree...we stood in the lobby and talked for a minute....nice chatting with you Shaleen!

The Lemon Tree Drivers are also great! Sagar and Rahul have always been my favorites...Thanks Sagar for getting me to the airport on time and safely...If I recall, it was raining the day I left and I really don't like driving in the rain. Sagar is a good driver and made me feel safe.

Overall, I think the Lemon Tree makes me feel like a Super Star...LoL....what a Great feeling!

Thanks to all the LT Staff for a pleasant 3 week stay!

I stayed in this hote 8 or 9 timesl and it is a great experience that in this hotel, the service is very good from the first day until the last day. Often, every further day you stay, the people in other hotels have lost the "level in service". Not in this hotel. You arrive and basiccally you have a worry-free stay. Need small improvement on the internet speed but everything else is excellent.

The Lemon Tree Hotel Hinjawadi Pune was our group's "home away from home" in Pune for a two night stay earlier this month. Simply put, our experience at the Lemon Tree was exceptional. The property and the corporate concept are exactly what weary business travellers to India, tired of the inflated prices of five star hotels, need and desire. The staff is efficient and friendly, eager to ensure your stay is comfortable. The food in the hotel's one restaurant was excellent and the chef was ever-present to make sure guests were satisfied. The hotel has a lovely little pool, bar with billiards, fitness center and wireless internet. The guest rooms were well equipped with very comfortable beds and good showers. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Pune, particularly as a business traveller. Three cheers for the team at the Lemon Tree Pune!!!!

This is my 2nd stay at the LT and it was fabulous as usual!! It gets better with every stay. I celebrated my birthday on this trip & the staff surprised me with a celebration at the Slounge. THANKS EVERYONE!! My room was kept perfect for me by Jyotiba. He greeted me every morning with a smile and always made sure I had everything I needed. Umesh at the front desk always makes sure I get settled into my room and that I have everything I need (on both trips). Seeing Bhushan in the Citrus every morning was new this trip but he made sure I was comfortable and taken care of, or when I saw him at night in the Slounge and I needed his assistance he was right there to take care of things. I really appreciated the extra care from him and Rupesh. Rupesh, Thank you for the outstanding care and service! Rahul in the Citrus remembered how I like my eggs and knew what I wanted every morning that I saw him. Vinayak and Umesh in the Slounge remembered what I drank from the first trip. Very impressive! Vinayak surprised me with a banana split after asking what I missed most from the first trip. He went straight to the kitchen and came back with it. It is not on the menu! Vinayak also taught me alot about their culture and was happy to help me learn more Hindi and Marathi when I asked. They go out of their way at the LT to make sure you’re happy whether it's your first or second stay with them. You'll love this hotel and the five star services they provide for you. Anthony, Naveed, Kunal, Jinisha...I could go on and on with the names of so many great people at the LT. I will be sure to get everyone's name on the next trip! They are all worth mentioning something great about! "Chef" made many wonderful new dishes for us to try. They were all fantastic! Rahul "the driver" was there to take care of my group once again with great service. He has excellent communication skills, and speaks very good English. He taught us many things about the culture and remembered what we visited on the last trip and wanted to make sure we experienced new things on this trip, and the next trip in September. I even learned some Marathi from him. The Lemon Tree only employs the best and it shows! You will enjoy your stay with them!

This is by far the greatest hotel I've ever stayed at bar none. The amenities are typical of any hotel but the staff at this place is amazing. From the drivers, front desk staff, restaurant people to the bar....they were all great. I stayed there for a month on business in Pune and was amazed at how the staff really tried to make you feel at home knowing that you were so far away from your family. VK, Umesh and Shashi were the 3 best bartenders one could ever hope for anywhere. They would be quick to get a drink, food or whatever you wanted. The conversation with them was always great and they would even come out and play pool and video games with you. I became great friends with these guys we even went out on a little sightseeing tour of the Lion Fort on one of my last days there. Truly some great times that I will never forget. The staff at the Citrus Cafe inside the hotel was also great. Bhushan, the man in charge made sure that everyone felt welcome. There was Anthony there that did a great job talking with all the guests and trying to make sure everyone had a smile on their face. There are so many great people there that I wish I could remember their names. If you're going to Pune and you're not sure where to stay it is even a question that this is the place you should be. Make sure you talk to VK in the bar and tell him that Tommy recommended you. He'll probably have some pics of our sightseeing tour to show you. Sadly you will not get to meet Umesh as he is being promoted and moving to another property in India. Shashi should still be there, make sure you ask him to play you in the burnout game for the PS2 in the bar. And for you people that need late night food make sure you get Anthony to bring you your food with a smile. I cannot praise this hotel enough. They made my stay in India very memorable and I made some lifelong friends.

From the warm greeting on day 1 of my stay when i arrived at 3 AM, to the ever so familiar warm responses to my humble attempts at Hindi to say farewell two months later when returing home i have had no better travel experience.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They made excellent recommendations. I spent most of my time at the hotel offering Thik hai (ठीक है), Shubash, Baria and Dhanyavād (धन्यवाद) (ok, good job, excellentand thank you). Anthony and Shashi in the Citrus Lounge were indespensible as were the myriad of drivers that took me to and from work, MG road, Laxmi road, and other destinations.

I had the time to take a trip to Agra to see the Taj Mahal and found that the service i had recieved at the Lemontree compared to other hotels was a cut above as they seemed genuinely interested in my satisfaction with thier servie and wanted to ensure that i had a pleasurable stay. Needless to say, I was incredibly happy to be returning to the Lemontree after my weekend was over.

The Slounge was suitable though i didnt visit much, and i did not have the chnace to enjoy the pool as it was monsoon season.

Clean hotel, good water pressure, plenty of hot water, good service, laundry was prompt and neat though my whites didnt come back as white and stains were not gone, just washed.

i would rate this hotel 9 of 10, definately a must stay if you're visinting Hinjawadi and the technical area.

Baria to all of you at the lemontree!!!

I have stayed at the Lemon Tree Hinjewadi about 12 weeks this year, over seven months. With rare exceptions the experience has been the best I have had in India. For example, the service is more attentive than at the Le Meridien in Pune, and the physical plant, while not as luxurious, is more reliable and practical than the Hyatt Regency Mumbai Airport.

The service is quite personal. Where necessary the has personally resolved conflicts or misunderstandings and those errors basically did not happen again. The staff has helped me arrange travel around the area, and follows up to make sure things have gone well.

The decor is bright and cheerful.

Laundry service is prompt and good quality.

The food in the in-hotel restaurant (Citrus Cafe) has enough variety, and enough non-Indian meal options, to let you explore Indian cuisine if you'd like, while still being able to count on some familiar basics from "back home". Breakfast buffet is completely sufficient.

Wireless broadband internet is available throughout the hotel. You purchase it by asking the front desk to assign you a username and password, which remains the same throughout your stay. I have been able to connect in all my rooms throughout the hotel. In some rooms the signal has been a little low, but never weak enough to stop me from working. On one trip the hotel had trouble with its ISP, which dropped service three or four times in a week, but that has not happened since.

I consider the Lemontree to be a step better than a Marriot Courtyard hotel in the U.S., though its prices are comparable.

My name is Lori and I was in India for 4 weeks and I had the pleasure of staying at the Lemon Tree Hotel in Pune. Everyone on the staff was excellent and went above and beyond their expectations, but there were a few folks that really stood out to make my stay a very pleasant stay. This was my first time away from home/out of the country for this length of time and away from my family and the staff here made feel like this was my home away from home. You should be very proud and honored to have such wonderful people representing the Lemon Tree Hotel. The rooms were were very clean. The food for the most part was good. I just could not handle the spicy food, but what I had of it was good. The chefs are very created and did make food that I could eat. The folks in the Slounge were Awesome. We never had to wait for our food or drinks. The Citris Cafe is a very nice restaurant and have a great atmosphere to sit and enjioy a meal. I feel I am leaving India with long term friends. The drivers (Raual) that took us back and forth to work and on the weekends were great. The manager always made sure we were happy. When you walk into the Lemon Tree you are always greeted with a warm smile and friendly "hello, how was your day". I will recommend the Lemon Tree Hotel to everyone that may be thinking of traveling to Pune India. Kudos to the lemon Tree and I give a 5 star review. Again I give hats off to all the staff, but below are the ones that really stood out to me. I can honestly say, that I have never been treated this well and like family from a hotel in the USA. Let me start by saying that I have traveled allot and have had many extended stays in various countries around the world. I have used trip advisor in the past but only to read reviews. I have never felt the need or desire to sign up and write one until now. Never have I had exert such little effort to ensure my stay was stress free.
Also I have never made so many new friends in such a short period of time this is one great place to stay. Rupesh the Deputy Hotel Manager and Bhushan the the Guest Service Executive deserve much praise from Lemon tree in the way they perform their duties. They have created an evrionment in this part of the world that would be hard to dupilcate.
The front desk employees that I had the pleasure of meeting were always there with a good morning sir, how was your day sir, or did you enjoy your day out shopping was a greeting that I looked forward to everyday. Many thanks to Kannan, Priyali, Mansi(who won me over with her smile),Nelson,Sharib and Mahseh. They made the start and end of each day enjoyable.
The Citrus cafe staff that I came to meet, Prabodh, Janisha (another great smile),Nitin, Naushad, Amit, Pawan, Kunal, Anthony, Praveen and newcomer Pravin, provided a service that was beyond compare. Whether I ordered something special to be cooked the way I liked or ordered fom the menu my food was always delivered correctly and to my liking. Great Job Citrus cafe and staff.
Housekeeping though I did not get to meet many of these folks because of my schedule did a superb job of keeping my room clean and my laundry done in fantastic way. It was nice to know that when i returned to my room things would have been taken care of. many thanks.
Last but not least. The Slounge. A great place to relax at the end of the day with a staff that I probably consider my closest friends. Vinayak (VK), Umesh, Shashikant, Shailendra and Kiran. These folks no matter how busy (and they were pretty busy at times) always took the time to listen, laugh, play a game of pool or speak of Indian culture. They spoke freely of their lives to me a stranger, from the day I arrived and our friendship is one I will always remember. I hope our paths again someday will cross.
I hope that in the future whatever position they hold within Lemon Tree they do not forget this review and provide the same service throughout their career to the many guest they serve. If this staff could be duplicated in the US it would prosper greatly.
For those of you that are members of trip advisor and have read this completely I hope you make Lemon Tree Hotel Hinjawadi your place to stay when in Pune. If VK is still at the Slounge tell him to play the Lemon Tree song and that Cricketfan79 sent you.
Again Lemon tree and all your staff thank you very much for all you have done. For my first time in deciding to write a review you have made it easy. You have no complaints from me. keep up the great work.

I must say when I first saw the Lemon Tree, I worried how happy I would be there (as it is a bit small) over multiple weeks. However, my concerns were completely baseless as I could not have been happier. The decor is ok, the rooms are very clean and the food is more than fine. However, it is the staff that makes this hotel so exceptional. I stayed at the Lemon Tree for multiple weeks in order to do business at the IT park and the staff could not have been more incredible. The staff never failed to exceed my expectations of great service. Nevid, one waiter in particular, was very nice. He greeted me each evening by name -- what a nice touch! Although downtown Pune has the 5-star hotels, I would never want to have to make that drive (in terrible traffic no less) every day to and from the IT park. If you are working at the IT park, I can assure you that you will be very happy with the Lemon Tree's fantastic service.

I stayed at the Lemon Tree, Pune for three weeks on business. The staff at the hotel was by far the best staff I have seen at a hotel. They were eager to please every minute of our stay. The chef offered to make us special American meals. The Slounge staff is wonderful. The hotel rooms are a little small, but the staff makes up for this. I have never been treated so good and I have stayed at many 5* resorts.

I am returning to the Lemon Tree for two more trips and can't wait to see the staff and be spoiled again.

The general staff was very friendly, always a smile.
The breakfast buffet (complimentary even) was a Godsend for the travelers from abroad, as it afforded local cuisine as well as standard continental fare.
The most refreshing thing about my stay at the Hotel was how accomodating the staff is.
I travel abroad quite a bit for work, and when in Pune I will not stay anywhere else!

When you first walk into the lobby you are disappointed that it is not the fancy hotel you expected. The first look a the room is disappointting too as there is no carpet in the room. But stay and it grows on you. The staff is incredibily friendly. But the reason I gave this hotel an excellent rating is the cleanliness. The room, the lobby, the restaurant, the stairwell, all of it is spotless. This is an incredible feat in India. In addition, the owners have a sense of humor. The lobby, the restaurant, etc all have jokes/comics as the decor. When you get back from a stressful night of work, the comical sayings definatily relieve your stress. The one drawback to the hotel, is that there are no restaurants around. So everyday you have to eat at hotel or at the hotel next door. But the hotel is close to the infotech park, the staff is friendly, and it's CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN.

I stayed at this little oasis for three weeks last September and although I have experienced better surroundings (although this hotel offers all you need, ) I don't believe I have ever experienced better or a more friendly service. Its used by a lot of people working away from home and staff truly take you under there wing and make you feel welcome and offer suggestions on getting around and places to see in your spare time. I came as a client and left as a friend. I'd stay there again in a second, in fact I'd stay in a threadbare tent if was staffed by the people at the Lemon Tree. The hotel food is very nice with lots of variety, the rooms although compact - offer all you need, the bar has a pool table and range of very nice cocktails that could be considered works of art when the wonderful bar staff are done decorating your glass with fruit. The gym is small but again all you need. There isnt a lot to see on the doorstep of the hotel, but transport is only a call to reception away.

I work in Asia a lot but this was my first trip to India and I really did not know what to expect. Those feelings were put to rest when I reached my Hotel. From the time I arrived at the front desk I was greeted by some very polite staff and it didn't end there, I was taken to my room which at first sight I thought was a little small, but it was clean and bright.
After unpacking my case I went down to the restaurant where I met some more polite staff who couldn't do enough for me and again I couldn't help notice how clean it was, the same goes for the bar, all the staff in this Hotel were very friendly. Without saying too much more I will put it in a nutshell. The Lemon Tree Hotel Pune would have to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in in Asia. It was home from home and I will for sure stay there again on my next trip to India

On my first trip outside North America I was a little intimidated by the challenges (language, food, transportation). This is a month long business trip to work on a construction project. Lemon tree is much like a hotel at home but with much better service. And very bright, cheery and clean. Pretty good TV also.

Located in an IT business district, local restaurants and shops are a 15 minute walk away but the Lemon Tree restaurant has an excellent menu and the food is good.

The price of good hotels in India seems high compared to local labor costs but Lemon Tree is mid level and seems like a good value in the local market.

Lemon Tree can provide cars that are clean and safe by Asian standards. The traffic in Asia, in case you havn't been here, is different. Don't even think about driving yourself.

Anyway the trip is a trip and it's good to have a home to come to every night.

Yes, there is a small concern on the parking space but that too has been well taken care off by the hotel staff.

The lobby is very small, basically if you have visitors or have to wait after check out it is difficult to hang in there for a longer period.

Though i didnt really enjoy the dinner buffet in the Hotel Cafe Citrus, that could have been much much better. Being a single woman i was pretty comfortable & felt safe. The Housekeeping staff is extremely helpful. It is about 1-1.5 hrs from the city & travelling can be quite a task, but if work is around Hinjewadi then its an apt place to stay in without a doubt. Stayed at Lemon Tree for a week on business, room 115. Staff extremely welcoming and accommodating. Had a conference room as well (Tangerine 1), the team were always no hand to respond quickly to requests for increasingly bizarre combinations of drinks etc! The rooms are nice - exceptionally clean, comfortable bed, nice quiet aircon, bottled water etc etc. There's WiFi albeit you have to pay, and there are a selection of channels including BBC World.

Food was varied, for sure there were some usual international options, but the buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner were really well made, well spiced hygeinic - ate anything and everything and didn't have any health problems, I did stick to bottled water though.

There's a gym - couple of treadmills, 2 static bikes, 2 simple weights stations and some free weights. There's an outside pool.

Walking out from the hotel, don't expect to find shops where you can go for retail therapy, you're prettty much in IT campus land, surrounded by Cognisant, Tata Technologies, PLM etc etc. There are some pavement eating kiosks if you fancy following the locals, didn't get chance (or inclination!) to try.

Recommended.

This one of the best business Hotel ( Value for Money) I stayed in India. I used to pay more in Pune 5 years back in pathatic hotels here. This one is excellent and very comfortable hotel. Strategically situated with in IT hub of Pune with Wipros,Infy's,Cognizents,HP, Mindtree etc all with a walking distance. Little far off from Airport but once you are in Hotel you can 100% devote to your work. 8 Storey hotel with comfortable rooms, pleasant infrastructure, polite staff and good breakfast. They have a buffet for INR 350/- every night which is equavalent to many 5 star hotels and best part is 24 hrs food in your room. Good Internet speed. Room tarriff is at least 50% cheaper than any good five star hotel.

Although the hotel facilities are slightly on the lower side compared to other locations (lemon tree bangalore), i am thoroughly impressed by the courtesy and assistance from the staff particularly from the citrus cafe.. one of their staff by name, Pulok, is one of the best host and my favourite in citrus cafe, very helpful and customer focussed...

The crew of the hotel is fairly stable and VEERRRY nice, the people are simply ok and even more welcoming than the average for India.
Go see the bar, sit by the pool and Swapnil, barperson, will make your afternoon a "forget it all" time ;)
just be sure you're there before midnight, usually the whole joint closes around 12:30 - 1am.

I was sent to India to run a software training course so the Lemon Tree hotel was chosen for its location. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and friendly service. All staff were keen to help so it is unfair to single any out but I will thank Swapnil in the bar for his friendliness and companionship, Mayur for cleaning my room and Chandrakant for being such a great tour guide when he was driving me around. The front desk staff and the restaurant staff were all very attentive too. A pleasant, clean hotel and comfortable stay.

lemon tree has an excellent service staff special there is guy in their bar called swapnil he is a super bartender we loved the ambiance lemon tree provide but we love the service swapnil gives. I think its very important while you are in the bar staff should attend you properly as you go there to relax and you do not want any loophole in service and Mr. swapnil do it that perfectly . He keeps no table unturned in going all out in proving good or we can say excellent service to the customer. lemon tree rocks but that bartender is a rock star

This is the most preferred hotel incase of my stay in Hinjewadi area.
Ideally located bang in the middle of IT Park.
Theses guyz really take their brand name tad too seriously, with
you being welcomed by a dash of Lemon tangy fragrance as you step into
their reception lobby. What starts as a dash of fresh air ,
can turn into overpowering dizziness if you are really into yoga style
inhaling,lol!

COming to important part of rooms, they have quite a few options ranging
from standard sized rooms to suites, with both smoking & non-smoking
options. Fresh ,clean ,crisp linens all adds up to comfy stay.

The buffets especially lunch & dinner are packed, thanks to the techie crowd.
So grab your tables well in advance.Cant miss out on the whacky
posters, adoring the walls.

A nice lil sporty bar ,with a mish-mash of rock-pop music is an ideal place
for late evening hangout next to namesake pool.
A decent gym, with quite a few workout options.

Enthusistic yOung staff , can get unnerved by impatient executives who love to
throw their weight around ,especially during peak early morning
checkout period, thanks to slow credit card swipe machines at times.

Overall a nice cheerful place,mid-segment business class hotel.

The hotel is possibly better than Lemon Tree properties at Gurgaon or Ahmedabad and located near to IT park. The service was good but only problem was distance from city centre and if you have meetings lined up at city centre , you can not keep on travelling to and fro from this place. Its location is very convenient for business travelers who want to visit IT companies in Pune's IT Part at Hinjawadi.
I found that the food was good in terms of taste, variety & quality.
I enjoyed my stay very much. The only thing which I did not like that in the room, no Marathi TV channel was available except 1 news channel. I complained about this to the management but no action was taken.

The rooms are not very spacious but they are just abotu sufficient to rest your tired bones after the back breaking day's work attending meetings and attending to clients.
The hotel has a buffet dinner everyday which has a good spread. Their breakfast is something to look forward to, too.
Their emphasis on saving water is something I liked a lot. Their accessories in the toilets were also very appealing. No extra stuff but all the right things that you'd need.
Everything is lemony in this hotel. The hues on the walls and there is even a lemony ting in the air you breath!

I stayed in total 3 weeks at this hotel, and really enjoyed my time there.

The facilities and room features are matching what you would expect from a first class hotel. The staff is really good: friendly, available, joking with you; they simply make you feel at ease. We are far from the classical and formal approach of many classy hotels, result being a fresher atmosphere, more friendly.

This hotel is a must-stay, in particular if you are on a business trip and your company is located around Hinjawadi (Siemens, Infosys, and so many others).

The only suggestion I would have is to make internet access complimentary; though the fee is not expensive, this would be really appreciable for international travellers wanting to communicate with their family / company.

I particularly liked:
- the bar ("Slounge"), where I spent hours playing pool table with the staff or other guests;
- the management taking personnally care of their guests;
- the skills of the person in charge of the laundry (he litterally saved one of my shirts after some paint had landed on it);
- the poolside service, i.e. drinks & snacks from the Slounge

This hotel chain was started by a former Taj Hotels executive. Still in early days, but I wish them well.

The Lemon Tree property in Pune is in a great location for the IT companies - it's across the road from Infosys, and close to many others such as Wipro and Cognizant. But it is not within the city proper (none of the IT parks in any of the Indian cities are near the city centres). So a good location if you are doing business in Hinjewadi; not so much for a tourist visiting Pune.

Decor is modern and occasionally quirky, with one-liners and other jokes in unexpected places (on the walls, printed on paper serviettes). The lift is quite small - small enough that an American used to Texan standards of space might feel claustrophobic! Rooms are small, but very clean and modern, fittings were new at the time of my stay and worked smoothly and well.

Service was uniformly excellent.

I didnt try the bar, but the restaurant was good - not a huge menu, but what it had seemed like a good mix of Indian and Western food, and what I ordered was very good.

The price, newness, and other options in the city make this a high quality bargain.

While the location is somewhat remote, relative to central Pune or the airport, if you have business to do in the technical park it's a relative bargain.

The chain itself allows you to select from a number of different rates that include some complimentary amenities including meals, wireless internet access and airport shuttles. I consider that a plus. It features a relatively up to date business center an above average lounge and a restaurant that serves better food than it's decor (which feels like an upscale Denny's).

For the continental traveler, the breakfast is solid, arguably more so than if you're a native. This is a significant plus compared to other hotels in this area at this price point.

The water pressure in the shower is outstanding, though the shower flooring does lend to slipping under certain circumstances. Speaking of showers, again for the benefit of the continental/North American traveler, the hotel does not supply wash rags, so pack your own.

The room itself is pretty nice, though you can feel like you're living/sleeping in an Ikea display. The televisions aren't really of great quality, but the picture isn't either, so it's a wash. The bed is comfortable and firm in the manner of all hotels I've stayed at in India.

I have only a couple of real criticisms. One comes from the air conditioning. first, it isn't really terribly effective. Second, it isn't aimed at the bed area, and three, when one removes one's room key to leave the room, the power to the room is cut off, this includes the air so one returns from a day at work to a hot room.

Also, the rooms themselves are not sound proof. Though you are blessedly relieved of outside noise, room to room and hallway noise still intrude frequently.

While the wireless coverage within the hotel is very good, the gateway/router of the provider is not, meaning that trying to conduct online business from the hotel, or accessing certain basic mail access sites, is an inconsistent proposition.

But for the money, if location isn't an issue this is a quality hotel, worthy of it's rating, and your money, within it's price range.

Finally a hotel in India that provides a clean environment, very good food and all at a sensible price.
This is not a five star hotel and does not have all the five star trimmings, but it's much more comfortable and homley. The staff cannot do enough for you. They are friendly helpfull and welcomming, and unlike the big five star hotels they do not expect gratueties nor do they chase you for them. Of course they are extreemly grateful if they are forthcomming.
The food was excellent. If you ask for well done, thats exactly what you get. It's cooked well and is safe. None of our party of four had any tummy troubles.
Service is excellent. If you ask for something they do not have, they will try and get it for you.
This is a great little hotel and you will not be dissapointed.
The only negatives are that the rooms are small, as is the pool. But this should not stop you choosing this hotel.
Keep up the good work Sandeep (manager) "Lemon Tree". I would both use this hotel again and recommend it to friends.

A decent hotel in the middle of hinjewadi. You are well connected to Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys....so the companies are actually walking distance from the hotel if that is the sole reason for choosing the hotel. Remember, trafic can be really bad at office hours in Hinjewadi.

The Check in took around 10 minutes. We were made to sit in the lobby - if you call 4 chairs and a table next to reception as lobby!!

You move on your own in the crammped lifts enjoying good rock music on the PA system. The rooms are very small, basic stuff...the washroom is like out of the bed and walk in. Amenities in the room are strictly on demand - even a hair dryer...so call for one in the night rather than running around in the morning.

Asked for iron and ironing board that was provided quickly but the iron is from 1970s. A regular iron with no steam option. Worst, it was not working. Called for another one and had to use the DHOBI style of sprinkling water by hand!!

At 1 in the night, got a knock at the door and a housekeeping guy had come in to provide me with an adapter. Thanks but I never asked for it

Breakfast was ok, not a lavish spread but good to go!!

Did not have any other meals at this hotel.

The porch area is too small, only one car can be parked while you move out or in.

Staff is very friendly but service lacks and if you are used to the 30 sqm rooms with LCD and ready to use amenities, this is not the place!!

I felt looking from outside the rooms were a bit close, though from inside my room was very spacious. I had internet in my room that was really good.

I think the overall stay was too costly rite from rooms to food, May be because of its business location.

It is located in the heart of IT hub of Pune. The approach road is extremelly croweded in the mornings & evenings. The car parking area is extremelly small & you have to be very careful to park your car without a scratch on it.
The rooms are very small but comfortable. The service is pretty quick.
The breakfast is quite nice & the best part is the Jokes you get to read when you are having your breakfast. Lemon Tree is worth a visit to read those jokes!

Lemon Tree(Pune) is an elegant and classy hotel but the place where it is situated is not that great if your visiting the city for leisure. Lemon Tree is situated in IT Park, Hinjewadi which lies in absolute outskirts of Pune.

But if you are visiting the city for some work(specially in some IT company situated near this hotel :-) ), then this is an ideal pick for the place of stay.

The food is nice and the ambience of hotel is excellent.

Surrounded by big MNCs and other corporate offices, this hotel stands tall as one of the best hotels in the locality.
Everything is perfect here except for the price. All basic and luxury facility will be provided but yes, you will have to shake your wallets a bit.
The room service, food etc all are quite nice and this hotel gives a feeling of luxury.

Nice rooms but not spectacular. The main nuisance is that it is far away from the airport (22 km) and also far away from town. I would look somewhere else next time. Made my reservation due to the high rating on this site but it did not live up to my expectation,

The hotel is good but for the price they are charging it is not worth. As they have monopoly in the area they are charging such high rates. They are good but they still need to at least make service as Internet as complimentary as free for 2 Hours a day for Regular Customs. The TV was normal, while they should have the Flat Screens. The Staff needs more training.

If you are arriving from Mumbai by Road, you can get to this hotel located in Hinjewadi in the middle of Corporate Powerhouses, in less then 3 hours which is great! Hotel's main porch finishes before it starts. Security is pretty poor as they have a body scanner at the entrance which wasn't being used at all. Security man was there but doesn't seem like there was much attention paid to the security aspect. Scanning the cars before they enter the hotel almost looks like a formality.

As I entered the room, 1st thing I usually do is open the curtains. As I did it, there was a soiled face towel lying on the window sil. Pretty poor image on cleanliness of the room. After that I wasn't too sure about anything. It's a fashion these days to talk about environmental friendliness by helping the hotel with reusing the bah linen. I did hang my towel - to be used again tomorrow. When I arived back it was casually resting (looked like thrown)on the toilet seat (no, it wasn't closed!).

I had asked for an Iron & board. They are using Irons (non-steam) from 19th century it looks like! The knob cannot be understood and ended up spoiiling 2 of my shirts . Complained at the front desk but no response from anyone till checkout!

I have stayed at this hotel a few times when traveling on business. Although, it was nice to see the familiar faces, I was disappointed with the hotel allowing people to smoke on a non-smoking floor. The smoking was so strong that it was actually waking me up from the room next door!

On the good side, the little coffee shop or restaurant provides good service, but non-smokers are the minority in this room. I often like to order "custom" stuff not on the menu and I'm always pleased to see the amount of effort given to meet my request. The staff are very friendly and don't mind joking with you.

Room comfort has usually been good although I'm fairly sure I did not receive the room I paid for. You should also watch your checkout billing statements very close. This is a good idea anywhere in India, but I had to have mine reworked twice and my co-worker had to have hers reworked three times.
