Our stay was very comfortable. The rooms were very comfortable with the latest amenities. The decor was welcoming and very traditional giving the sense of Rajasthan culture. The staff was very nice and provided personalized attention and service. With ever smiling faces and politeness they made us feel right at home. We will surely stay here again in future. Worth every penny.

Travelling around Rajasthan for two weeks we stayed in many hotels. Shanti Residency was one of the more modern hotels, however not one of the best. This was not helped by the fact we arrived on the Holi fesital and the chef had gone home so we could not get any lunch. We were upgraded to a high standard room for free but felt we were somewhat shut into our room as the hotel is outside the town and there was nowhere to go without transport and for Holi we were advised it was safer to stay inside. We saw a mouse/rat in the restaurant upstairs which meant that we would not have wanted to eat there anyway. We eventually dined at a fantastic newly opened restaurant (will update when i remember the name of it!), about 5 min drive from hotel. Would strongly recommend hiring a guide for the day to escort you around the beautiful Golden City of Jaiselmere where you can feed the giant catfish in the lake and visit the Golden Fort and various Havelis. We had an excellent guide (Mr Singh!) who brought the place to life and afterwards invited us to have tea and sweets with his family. Also visit the co-operative textiles shop where you can pick up stunning hand embroidered bedspreads for around £85. (one of the staff in the textile place put us onto the restaurant!)

This is a fairly new hotel, so the rooms are spacious, clean, and the beds are comfortable. We really enjoyed the food at the hotel restaurant; we actually decided to eat there a 2nd time after a long day of tourist activities because we wanted a sure thing. The staff was very accommodating and friendly... the chef even came out to talk to my mom about some of the dishes he prepared for us. The only knock on this hotel is the distance from the center of the city and a tire yard next door, but some other hotels we checked out in the city were old, dirty, with very unkempt staff. It's not necessary to stay IN the city center here. Luckily we had a driver arranged through Dream Holidays tourism company and they took very good care of us throughout our trip and even offered to switch our hotel for us if we wanted (because it was not in the city center), but Shanti Residency ended up being the hotel we decided to stick with in the end...

We (2 families, total 4 adults and 2 children) visited Rajasthan in first week of November and stayed 1 night in this hotel. We made booking based on website and calling manager personally. Booking was done by transfering money through bank (no online booking option).

Rooms were decent but service horrible. Staff and receptionist was arrogant which is rare experience for me. Location was not inside the city/around the fort so each time you have to manage your transportation.

Things we liked about it is good food quality, decent rooms, arrangement made by same hotel for desert safari.

Overall, we felt one can get better option in Jaisalemer.

Been to this hotel with family for Diwali Vacation. Rooms were fine but they do not have room service for tea / food etc. Also if you ask for water bottle - it takes time to get it.

Also they did not had quick laundary facilty which is required for such tourist place ( Jaisalmer ).

Seems this is new setup and they need improvement. Location is away from Jaisalmer fort so you have to take vehicle to reach to fort but hotel is near to Gadisagar Lake.

We stayed in this hotel during our Rajasthan trip. We found it good value for money as the room cost was not much. Restaurant was also economical and food was good. The staff was very courtious. Overall a good hotel. We would surely recommend this to people who don't want to spent heavy money for stay.

The hotel was described as central but it was well out of town and was located in a lorry park. Without a car one could not get into town as we were told that tuktuks(autorickshaws) did not come out this far. The rooms were small, very dark and slighly grubby. There were lots of problems with hot water. The staff however were delightful .

Experience was pathetic. Though our booking was confirmed through Hotelpuspak and we have paid but the hotel was not ready to provide rooms as were busy with a group booking for staffs of IFFCO-Tokio insurance company coming from Bareily. Our booking was for 3 couple package for 3 days and 2 nights but they have provided us only 2 days. During second day they told us to leave the hotel as they had bulk booking with mentioned insurance company. Behaviors of staffs were very bad. Service was not even good. They were not ready to provide ordered food as they were busy with their bulk booking. In their dictionary some words are missing: Manner, etiquette and value of other’s money.

The service varied between terrible and non-existent, the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned any time recently, it was "policy" not to turn the hot water on, and the kitchen was a disgusting mess. If all of that weren't enough, the staff actually locked the hotel so I couldn't "escape" in the morning, there was no telephone or internet, and the hotel is a long way from anything. I would never stay there again.
