Have stoppet this hotel regularly over the last two months and found the staff and service to be excellent on arrival i have been given the same room without asking and the restaurant make it feel like going into my local back home as they always greet with a smile and know what i like to drink and eat . Although this is not 5 star luxury one needs to take into account the price and i consider the facilities to be sufficient for the asking price. i have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to those on a lower budget

Great value for the cost, comfortable and relaxing with a choice of differently priced rooms friendly service and an excellent restaurant, superb chicken tikka and ice cold kingfisher although restaurant bill gets a hefty 13.5% tax slapped on top and is nearly full every night with indians and tourists alike, the RRR hotel next door does excellent cheap biryani for lunch served on banana leaves a must try, enjoy

Same sort of money as the hideous Hotel Roopa (see my other reviews) and that’s where the similarities end. First deep European style mattress we found in India, complementary toiletry kit for both of us, TV, plenty of hot water, room safe in the wardrobe and reading lights which was another first. There was a swimming pool, although we didn’t try it out and a open air restaurant (with retractable roof in case of rain) which was really good.

When they heard we had been chucked out of our previous hotel early (hence sitting in the restaurant for breakfast with our luggage) they checked and said we could go to our room immediately as it was free and they provided a list of the tarriffs which also confirmed the check out time so we need not worry about early eviction!

We decided to leave some items behind in the bathroom when we checked out and they checked that we had meant to do it and not just forgotten them before we had even got out of the building.

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at in so many ways. There is excellent food and the rooms are fabulously eccentric yet clean, comfortable and huge. There are balconies in all of them. A big sign warns you to leave balcony doors shut because of maurading monkeys and there are many helpful signs all through the room and hotel itself. No more fooling around with switches trying to turn out the lights at night but leave on that one reading lamp. The switch plates are all helpfully labeled. If there's a drawback, it's that the local bar can be somewhat noisy but that's okay -- just go and join them. The room rates are also excellent value and staff could not be friendlier. A wonderful hotel in a wonderful city.

Had a stay here with a couple of my friends during christmas hols. We were very lucky to hav booked rooms at "Parklane Mysore" as later we felt that it was the right place to celebrate our holiday. This hotel has very very comfy rooms and i feel the tariff is really reasonable for all the comforts they offer. Even the additional bed concept is very comfortable.
The private sitouts have a wonderful view and our bathrooms also looked well maintained. The "No-tips please" sign is a feather on their cap and the staff are also very courteous.
Though the place was packed for Christmas the staff were well above the mark. We were so happy that we tipped them while leaving.
Mysore is a lovely place and we are already making plans on visiting again and definitely stay here for New year also.

It was a true hospitality experience at the Parklane hotel where i stayed for two days. The room was very comfortable to stay and the beautiful view of the garden outside made it wonderful and the staff made me feel like they know me from years. The best part was the amazing swimming pool on the topmost floor which nobody would have even thought of & the awesome view of the glittering palace in the evening. The way the staff treated me was just too good and made me feel that they are part of my family. And also the food at this place is very delicuous and to my amusement the manager at the restaurant recommended me to have the chicken stroganoff which was out of the world. Moreover i really liked the way the place is done up it is quite interesting.
If you are really looking at home away from experience i bet this is the place to be in mysore.

A group of us had visited Bangalore on business. We decided to wrap-in a little bit of Mysore sight-seeing during the trip. My service provider in Bangalore recommended Hotel Parklane. The recommendation was spot-on! It appears Hotel Parklane is a favorite haunt for overseas visitors.
We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel accomodation and the delicious food served served in the restaurant. We had very attentive staff, who made sure our food preferences and requirements were taken care of. The ambiane was quite lovely. The hotel had been renovated recently and was tastefully executed. The local music was a nice added touch, but at times, it got little noisy. We got to do a fair bit of sight seeing of lovely palaces and gardens. Mysore seem to be in lot saner pace compared to hyper driven Bangalore.

By chance came across this hotels’ website when I was searching for a place to stay in Mysore for a wedding. Impressed by the website details, I booked online which was promptly confirmed. This place is conveniently in the heart of the city.
Newly done up, the rooms are very clean and spacious. But what I liked best was the atmosphere of the restaurant. Looks like this restaurant is a happening hub in Mysore. The place becomes all glittering and alive by 8.30. Food, especially the steaks were yummy.
The small and creative pool is just private and perfect for relaxing. I literally dozed off in the serenity of the roof top. The roof top is again very interestingly done. There is a place called city watch above the pool, which is really worth the climb. The view of the lit-up palace is superb. A beer in your hand, some munchings and you feel on top of this world.
The staff was very friendly. I can say that this place is definitely worth the money I paid.
U guys could have just guessed the way i felt there by looking at the size of my review!

Excellent restaurant with hotel being built on site (may be up and running by now). Feels like stepping into a jungle inside. All lush green plants and tall ceilings, with little alcoves to the sides. Great fun! They do India and Western Food, including porridge made with cream and bananas with chunky sugar crystals - out of this world! Friendly staff.

We stayed at this property for 1 night. It is very proximate to the mysore palace.Rooms are neat and clean and spacious. If you get a luxury room you will also get a balcony.
In house restaurant serves good food. You will find many non boarder come to eat at park lane restaurant.
Standard AC rooms are spacious enough for a couple with a small child. What i like that after entering in to the room you would not feel that you are in a shabby place.
I liked the size of attached bath which is cramped at many other hotels but not here.
LCD tv looked new, AC remote was also fully functional and beds were also comfortable.
i would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to stay at a good place which is reasonably priced.

we stayed for 4 nights and found it very comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. the roof top pool with rocks all round it and across the walls must have been designed by someone on drugs. the rooms are pretty comfortable and a good size. the location is really good too. overlooking the gardens of the Palace. The reception of the hotel is pretty small and the staff are pretty useless and feels a bit like an entrance to a public place. Which it is because the restaurant is very busy with non guests. I would avoid the restaurant for breakfast as it is soooo expensive. there is a hotel a few doors along that does a great breakfast buffet, eat all you want for about 80 per person. We had a luxury room on the front and it was a bit noisy from traffic and people in the hotel restaurant which is open top and directly below. the service in the restaurant is crap. we had to ask serveral times for different things we had ordered. it seemed like one level of service for indian people and another lower level for westeners. I would not recommend the restaurant, it is overpriced and rubbish service.

The Parklane Hotel is a good place to stay if you're visiting Mysore. It's right across from a park and a short walk from the palace. The rooms are pretty average, even if you get a luxury room. (Which I would suggest, because then you'll get a balcony with a view of the park.) The food is good, and the room service is fast. The restaurant is great with both indoor and outdoor seating areas. They also sometimes have live musical performances. The terrace swimming pool is small but nice, has a great view, and is almost always empty. All in all, a good place to stay.

I stayed in this hotel on a quick trip to Mysore. The best part of the hotel is its location, opposite to the palace! The rooms are clean, come with a TV, hot and cold water and the best part is the price. You need to pay for the breakfast and I was OK with that. The Beer garden is filled with people every evening and its a great place to catch up with people. If on a budget trip, I am surely staying here again!

This hotel is located right in the heart of town. From here, it is a convenient place to walk to the various attractions within Mysore City. From the hotel, St Philomena's Church, Mysore Palace, City bus stand, Suburban bus stand and Jagan Mohan Art Gallery are all within walking distance. Shops with various services are all available near the hotel.

Check-in at the hotel was slow as the receptionist was stuck on the phone. Rooms were small but clean and tastefully furnished. Phone charger was one of the useful frills that was available in the room. The wall mounted LCD TV offered a wide selection of cable TV channels. There is a restaurant on the 1st floor of the hotel. The food served there is nice, but the service is pretty poor. Front desk staff were helpful and promptly followed up on any request made. Wifi was available but for a fee.

Recommended for the location and clean rooms.

We stayed here for 2 nights in April. We had a room at the back of the hotel so no street noise. A bit of kitchen noise but not too bad. The room was really clean and comfortable. We ate all our meals at the hotel restaurant, which was very good. On Saturday and Sunday nights Mysore Palace is lit up for a short time and you get a good view of this from the roof top of Parklane Hotel.

We had two nights here in February, our clean and well equipped room was a standard room so no view or balcony - but we only wanted it to sleep in so that didn't matter. The staff were excellent. We ate all of our meals in Mysore at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant is very popular with locals and tourists alike and the quality of food and service was excellent. A great city centre hotel at a fair price.

...although we stayed for two! Plus points - quite cheap, good restaurant, room very well equipped for those just passing through. Just to be clear for anyone reading this - it's not a swish hotel, and our room was just above the kitchen so was quite noisy. As a spot to explore the relative insanity of Mysore (relative to Kerala, where we did most of our travelling), it's really quite good. Don't go for the "luxury" rooms - they have a balcony, but we were advised we'd have to "mind the monkeys" that on occasion pay a visit. I prefer my sleep untroubled by cold-calling primates, but this may well be an added attraction for some of you.

I stayed at Parklane along with my family on Mysore sightseeing trip. It was one day stay so we didn't spend that much of a time in the hotel. my experience in terms of Pro's and Con's is as below:

Pro's
-----------
- Rooms are quit good but the ambiance varies from room to room. I booked two rooms (Luxury for around Rs1750 each), and found that ambiance was different in both the rooms. One room looked quite stunning and the other was plain ordinary.
- Staff was very cooperative
- Rooms service was quite prompt and rooms were clean
- Close to city Center. Zoo, Palace
- Hotel has small car parking and staff was co-operative enough to help you find a place to park.

Con's
-----------
+ The in-house restaurant. Found food quality to be way below ordinary. Nothing special about it. Later we went outside for dinner and breakfast.
+ Kitchen cooking smell seeps through bathroom exhaust. Foul fish smell was the bad part.
+ Open window and you see walls. Don't expect a scenic view. No point opening up the windows.

In all, my family enjoyed the stay, except for the food part. I would advice it for people who are going in groups or traveling with friends on leisure trips. People coming along with family will not find it appealing. For my next trip i would sure keep this hotel in mind but would try the others first.

What a delightful hotel and while a little more expensive than our usual accommodation, it is well worth the extra money.
It was refurbished/expanded a couple of years ago yet it is already showing signs of wear and tear. It’s not a huge problem as it adds to the charm and “worn in”, comfortable feeling, almost like pulling on a pair of your favourite slippers.
Staff at Reception were very polite and courteous, but once again, it was full cash up front (although they did allow us to see the room first) for our 5 night stay.
The room was extremely good, clean, plenty of facilities including flat screen TV (80 + channels), both air con and ceiling fan, firm twin beds with extra pillows and it also had a fridge, safe and small seating area with a sofa bed.
The bathroom was perfectly acceptable and it had a shower curtain to keep most of the bathroom dry, with hot and cold water available there, and in the large sink. The complimentary toiletry bags (his and hers) were extremely thoughtful (see our Blog for pictures and contents) and a nice touch.
Lighting was excellent with plenty of options to suit mood and ambience, bed linen and towels were of a good quality and we would be very well looked after during our stay.
Wi-fi was via a third party company offered only with credit card on-line and you’ll need a mobile phone to confirm purchase. The download speed was around 30 Mbps but the signal was poor and you can’t stop the clock ticking on logging out. Your hour runs down to zero as soon as you sign in. Price is INR 70/hour or INR 200/24 hours but we simply used our Tata photon + mini modem and that worked fine.
By far this room was the best we’ve had on our travels in India for this price (The Arches in Fort Kochi was just as good but a lot more expensive), but it did have one problem. Our original room was directly over the kitchen (working hours were 07:00 to midnight) and the restaurant is immensely popular with both local and foreign diners, resident or not. Couple this to the fact the bathroom doesn’t have a glazed window, just a mosquito screen, and the noise became unbearable as the night wore on.
My wife went off to complain and she must have done a great job, for they immediately upgraded us, free of charge, to a much bigger room (more like a suite) which also had a balcony, a lovely view of the park opposite the hotel and a proper bath. The staff were very professional and polite at all times.
From then on we slept superbly well and really enjoyed our visit to Mysore. Come and stay at the Park Lane, it’s a very comfortable hotel with a lively restaurant where even the draught beer is a fair INR 50 mug. Just don’t get fobbed off with room 301.
We used the hotel restaurant a number of times as it was always full and it had a good atmosphere. The draught beer (I suspect it’s Fosters, which is a less than average brew- I’d have preferred the local Kingfisher) does the trick to quench your thirst and you can enjoy the view of the park opposite, chat to the friendly locals or watch a cricket match on the numerous TV screens.
The food though is disappointing.
They do advise you that your meal can take from 20-40 minutes to arrive (it’s usually the latter) but that should ensure the dishes are hot. Instead ours arrived barely lukewarm and this suggests it’s left lying around in the kitchen, which is unforgiveable.
More so, the local vegetarian dishes which are good are very pricey compared to traditional restaurants nearby offering the same/better quality- often up to two to three times as more expensive.
The western dishes are popular with the less than adventurous travellers but my one attempt to find out why, left me regretting my moment of rashness. Ordering a lasagne (chicken, not beef- the cow is sacred here) it was completely inedible. It was barely warm, there should be no “crunchy bits”, pasta sheets should not be a mush and the tomato sauce should not be ketchup. I took a couple of mouthfuls and left it to congeal on the table.
To conclude, the rooms are great but get a quiet one away from the kitchen, use the restaurant by all means for a drink but go out to dine if you want affordable authenticity.
As usual feel free to drop us a line or checkout our Blog site (see profile for details or Google “ktelontour” for more info, tips and pictures.

The hotel is well situated, very near to the Palace and nice restaurants. We did not find the hotel's restaurant good. We found it a bit costly. One plate rice could be consumed by one person only. Otherwise cleanliness wise the hotel was good. It is kind of a theme hotel. The restaurant has some theme which is good, but the seating arrangement was not up to the mark and the chairs were very untidy. AC room costs 1200. The best thing was they gave a welcome kit which contained starting from toothbrush to talcum powder to keyring.

We started off from bangalore to mysore and we had a list of hotels from which we had to pick up one to stay. Once we reached we decided to stay at Parklane during the journey. The place is just 10mits walk from the mysore bus stand and palace. The price is bit on higher side... But the hotel is very neat and clean. Room is not very big but enough for 2 people. The room has all modern aminities and is good to stay. Dont try to book it online because online price was nearly 2.2k and when I went there it was just 1.6k.
The restaurent is very nice & food quality is amazing. You can try out some continental dishes which are quite nice. The ambience and music was amazing.

On check-in you get very cute and useful his and her washbags complete with a proper colgate toothbrush, toothpaste, Nivea moisturiser, vaseline for dry heals, shampoo etc. Great if you're starting your travels and the bag is reuseable and ideal for travelling as it's transparent. The hotel is in a great location, only a 5 minute walk from the bus station. The food in the restaurant is good too. Definitely the best value accommodation we've stayed in in India. The only little downside were the staff who were slightly unfriendly.

Decided on this place based on the reviews mentioned here and I would say it was worth the choice.
Pros
- We booked the Luxury Deluxe and it was spacious, clean and had a good decor, with a balcony. Never felt congested (like other places we have been at the same price range)
- Good Location, close to the Palace
- Had a small pool on the terrace- mostly suitable for kids
- provided with all toiletries

Cons
- The lobby and the common area seem a bit congested
- We had lunch at the resturant & it seemed more like a bar, we were there with 2 kids, so the ambience did not suit us. But must say food was good
- asked for extra towels, but never got them

Overall, good value for money and inside the room it seem to be a different world

This hotel is probably the best in this tourist street, nice big rooms with AC (which you don't really need), mosquito nets infront of the windows (big plus), nice LCD tv, amazing clean and big bathroom with hot water. If you want to spend a little more than usual and want to have a comfy stay this is the place. The restaurant is pretty good too, but the service isn't the best, like the rest of this city.

Quick tip: Stay away from any person who comes up to you on this street, most of them want to take you to a coffee shop or sell drugs, including many of the auto-r. drivers. If you need an auto go to the end of the street and find one who doesn't try to force all kinda crap on you.

Lovely newly-refurbished hotel and very good value compared to some of the competing upper mid range hotels in town.

We left the Viceroy after one night as it was about twice the price it should have been. We got effectively a mini suite here, with balcony, comfy beds and flat screen telly, for 2200 rupees.

Very welcoming and helpful. Only drawback is they want payment in advance and don;t make it easy to achieve that from outside India (which is why we ended up at the Viceroy rather than here in the first place).

We spent a comfortable night here on a weekend retreat from Bangalore. The parklane has recently been totally renovated, with a large number of rooms on 4 floors around a central circular atrium. There is no avoiding the fact that the result is pretty kitsch, but its also fun, with fake trees and rocks formations, hanging plants and tribal masks all over the place.

That said the rooms are clean, well designed and simple without being sparse. Its not a budget option with prices starting from 1000 rps for a double and if you want a balcony and a tub ranging up to 2000/2500. We chose a room for 1500 and enjoyed the fact that there was a seating area with a sofa bed, perfect for us as we were traveling with baby and he prefers his own little bed. Another bonus is the small pool on the rooftop, where we had a refreshing dip, and room service who fed us with cool beers and snacks as we lazed in the sun feeling very luxurious.

The first floor restaurant retains the charm and pull of its pre-refurb self, and was packed with a nice mix of locals, Indian and western tourists the saturday night we were there, the full house and live music (indian classical) making for a good atmosphere to eat chat and relax. There are stalls for parties of up to 8 people around the sides of the restaurant, and a nice covered terrace area with hanging plants. The menu features indian, chinese and continental food, which, though nothing exceptional, is ok at the price. Breakfast was also fine, particularly the pancakes with fresh fruit and the french toast.

The hotel is really close to the palace, and a short walk from the market and the shopping areas. Sneek up to the viewing terrace up some iron steps from the top floor for a great view of the town, with a peek of the palace through the towering trees.

Hotel situato in posizione strategica (5 minuti a piedi dal Mysore Palace e a circa 15 min dal Devaraja Market). Camera spaziosa, non trascurata e soprattutto pulita. Ristorante situato in una terrazza al primo piano molto frequentato. Personale cordiale.

I had a 2 days stay at Parklane hotel. The rooms are pretty good with so many amenities such as locker, refrigerator, mobile chargers and many more. They had a pretty good service. I booked this hotel because it had a roof top pool but unfortunately the same was under constructions during my visit. The most happening place here is the bar at 2nd floor. You would surely feel a bit awkward & out of place in this hotel if you are a non drinker. I will not at all recommend anyone eating food here at the bar unless and until you are planning to drink as well. .

We stayed here because of a good review in the Rough Guide. It stated that is was a 'boutique hotel', but it was anything but. It is OK but no different for anything else in the price range. Of the 3 nights we spent there. One had no hot water, one tepid water and one ok. Also the front desk are unable to make any travel bookings for you, be it a taxi for local trips or bus/train tickets for onward travel.
The restaurant is also very hit and miss. One night good food and terrible food the next night. In my opinion the restaurant is also over priced.

1. Ask for luxury rooms, anything else is not value for money.
2. Ask for higer floor, live music and traffic disturbs till 9PM.
3. ENSURE HOT WATER 24 HOURS.
4. Ensure you get your complimentary gents/ladies toiletries.
5. Try out the chicken manchow soup, hyderabadi chicken starters.
6. ENSURE GENERATOR IS NOT BROKEN. :-@

On Nov 5th I went to Mysore with my hubby for 2 days trip.So we planned for a stay in parklane hotel after going through few reviews.Initially i had a doubt as first time we were going to a budget hotel. After reaching the hotel all my doubts got cleared.Staffs were quite professional they helped us to check in to our room.Rooms were quite spacious and clean. They even provided us with toilet kits.Room service was also good. They provide a safe locker too.But i didn't like the restaurant both in interior and food.Particularly the vegeterian indian dishes are not upto the mark.Starters were ok and even beverages. They have got huge menu you can choose your option.
Overall i would say it was a good hotel as per budget..........

Gloomy.... yep thats a good way to describe this place. Me and wife had booked a luxury room for 2 days during Dasara but decided to leave in a day. The hotel is located right in front of the palace which helps but lack of light, choice of dark colours and the linen give a constant feeling of the place being unclean. We dint feel like coming back to the room at all. I think there are better choices available for the same price. I wont go there again.

Restaurant sub-standard, services not up to scratch (laundry returned with footprints, internet service unavailable every morning). Rooms poorly lit although well appointed with large bathrooms. Good location for the palace, and I would stay again despite the quibbles. Comfort rooms in particular were very good value for money.

This hotel is recommended by guide books and other travellers alike. It has many redeeming features, not least the fantastic restaurant on the first floor which serves fabulous and very reasonable food (Indian and other) to the accompaniment of live Tabla and Sitar. It is a place that is popular with both locals and westerners and this is reflected in the rooms which have flat screen televisions and air conditioning. The rooms themselves all radiate from a central, circular, hall and are oddly shaped. Recent refurbishment work seems only to have included the addition of some fitted wooden furniture and the plastic, garden style chairs remain. The bathroom was the big disappointment - hot water seems to be intermittent and the bath itself was far from what we would call clean with marks in a number of different, and increasingly intriguing, colours across its bottom.
That said, the room itself was clean and the hotel has a good location within very easy reach of the palace and centre of town where a visit to the fantastic covered market is a must.

I selected this hotel looking at the ranking at TripAdvisor, but was DISAPPOINTED with the service of the hotel. I had booked 3 rooms for my extended family and when we checked in around 1 pm, we found none of the rooms to be ready. They made us wait for more than 30 minutes to clean the rooms. We were asked for the full payment immediately and when I said that we will pay it later or when we checkout, THE RECEPTIONIST demanded that I should pay it then and there! As if we were running away from the place without paying them! We had one child aged 9 years, and I was ready to pay the extra amount for a child less than 10 years as per their tariff, but he kept on arguing that the child looked more than 10 years and demanded the full amount!
I was shocked at this kind of behaviour from a staff of a hotel with decent reputation!
The rooms were okay, with lot of instructions glued around. The location is very good; it’s just behind a park and opposite to the Mysore Palace.
The shopping area and City Bus Stand are also at walk able distances. There is a swimming pool at the roof top which didn't look clean to me. The restaurant and bar is decent and serves good Indian food.
Indian Classic Music is played throughout the day, which makes the ambiance pleasant. The option of caching up on some live classical music in the evening is also available.
PARKLANE was an average experience for us and we wish they TEACH THEIR STAFFS SOME LESSONS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The hotel has been recently renovated, in a quite nice style, rooms are large and comfortable. The problem there is the maintenance, when we arrived the sheets were so dirty and spotty (even by 'India' standards), we asked for fresh ones. Then we discovered the bathroom, tub was dirty. To their credit, they sent a manager to 'check' the dirty bathroom immediately, and then cleaned the room specially within one hour, with fresh bedsheets too. The same goes with their restaurant, a nice terrace with good food, but service not so great, and hygiene... tea cups with spots of some tomato soup. It could be a very good place, but if so poorly maintained it will be awful in a few months.

I am forced to write this review for this hotel. I recently travelled to Mysore, a city very close to my heart...but this time i made the biggest mistake of booking our accomodation in the PARKLANE Hotel. Locationwise the hotel is kinda alright, as it close to teh Mysore Palace. However, other than that nothing was positive about it. The worst thing about the hotel was the behaviour of teh staff. It seemed they were almost HOSTILE towards "INDIAN ORIGIN" guests!!! The receptionist was extremely rude and it almost seemed that we didnt pay for our stay there!! SERVICE WAS PATHETIC!! Hospitality industry's USP is their staff and their behavious towards their customer. PARKLANE HOTEL U SUCK in this BIG TIME!!! I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFF, ESPECIALLY YOUR "BALD RECEPTIONIST" TO SHOW SOME COURTESY TOWARDS THEIR GUEST SPECIFICALLY "INDIAN GUESTS"!! OUR experience in PARKLANE = Money & Time wasted!!

This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The Rooms are average and the bed linen and the bathrooms are dirty. To add to this the staff here do not even have basic courtesy and have serious attitude problems. They just are not to help the guest but with some other agenda who and their managemnt only may know.

Would never again want to go back here.

This happened in the month of March 2009, I was on a official trip to Mysore and hence i looked up the internet to see a good place to stay. I came across this hotels website and sent an email for the booking, I got a confirmation for the booking and i also reconfirmed by calling them up regarding the booking and i was told that the booking is done.
Thinking that everything is fine i can concentrate on my work once i reach there, I reached mysore and took an autorickshaw to the hotel. The driver asked me if i have a booking and i told him that yes i have and i have reconfirmed it.

To my surprise i entered and reached the reception and told about the booking, i was asked a question if i am going to stay alone, i said yes, Then the immediate reply was that we do not allow single men in this hotel. This was atrocious and i said that if i can speak to the manager or someone who has the authority.

I spoke to one Mr Venkatesh Gupta, he was so arrogant in telling me that i cannot get a room, i told him that i have come all the way 500 miles and if he says no then how does it work. He told that he does not bother but will not give a room as per the booking. He offered to show me the rules and regulations. I was really surprised with this behaviour and attitude.

My sincere suggestion to all the people who are looking at stay in ParkLane Hotel is that, if you dont have something called self respect or dignity then you may try this hotel.
