This is place is really good. Reasonablly priced, good and neat rooms , various options for no. of beds in the room 2,3 and 4 (Not extra bed). They have fixed thali for lunch and dinner which is also good and rightly priced, I have seen many people from outside coming to this place for lunch and dinner. Ample parking space. Surely this is the best place in Dwarka for stay.

Having just returned from our first trip to India, going to a small town such as Dwarka was always something we were unsure about. But these were put aside and all was made SO much easier having stayed at Hotel Damji for 2 nights. The hotel is VERY modern inside and out, as are the spacious rooms with fully functional modern bathrooms. There is a nice large lobby area in case you want to invite friends/family for tea/coffee and the you are always greeted with a smile from all the staff. Not knowing Dwarka that well we sticked with the safer option with their resteraunt downstairs for dinner at night and this was VERY nice with good quality punjabi/gujrati food.

If ever in Dwarka I would ONLY stay in Hotel Damji.

We had pleasunt surprise to find a simply fantastic property at Holy Pligrimage Dwarka. I have been told that the property is the newest hotel property with utmost cleaniness and well built one. The original idea was to spend only a night at Dwarka and proceed to Porbandar on the way to Somnath and spend a night at Porbandar, looking at the property and its value for money proposition being offered to us, we simply cant' resist to spend an additional night at Hotel Damji. Hotel Damji is centrally located in small town of Dwarka and at a walk of less then 500 meters from world famous Dwarkadhish Temple.
Exotic interiors and lobby are the best part to spend time with our children at Hotel.

After our mishap at Hotel Guruprerna , we landed at Hotel Damji.
We were impressed by the hotel exterior at the first sight with ample parking for cars and hoped that the interiors too lived up to our expectations. We were shown Deluxe A.C. rooms and were quite impressed by the clean and tidy linen , good furniture and clean and simple bathroom . Even the lobby ambience was good with ample seating. All of us agreed without any fuss and we spent a comfortable night on 29 August 2011 at Hotel Damji after driving 450 kms from Ahmedabad.
The vegetarian food at the Hotel was good but could be better. The hotel proprietor, a friendly person was at the hotel lobby till 10 p.m. to oversee that all guest requirements were met. Hats off to his dedication. Next afternoon we left for Somnath with satisfaction of staying at Hotel Damji.
As there are no graded 3 star or higher hotels in Dwarka - Hotel Damji leads the pack in terms of good hotels.

After reviewing many hotels in Dwarka we came across this hotel, and I tell you its the best hotel in Dwarka.
its walking distance from Dwarkadhish temple.
the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable.
You get hot water from 4 am to 11 am in morning.
Has its own parking and attached restaurant which serves Gujarati thali..
Overall good experience.

I visited Dwarka in Nov 10 and stayed in this Hotel. This is ideally located very close to the tmeple and the rates are very reasonable. The hotel is kept neat and clean and we really enjoyed our stay.

I stayed at this hotel for a weekend visit to Dwarka. Before checking into this hotel, I checked couple of other hotels in the near vicinity, but none of them can be compared to Hotel Damji. Notwithstanding the slightly eccentric name, it is little gem in Dwarka.

The Hotel is located in inner-city and is surrounded by a typical "Indian style" (euphemism for crowded and not-so-clean) marketplace. You can hardly anticipate that such an approach road will lead you to a very hospitable place like Hotel Damji.

The Hotel tariff is competitive and the rooms are very spacious and elegantly furnished. As indicated earlier, as the Hotel is in middle of a marketplace, don't expect any scenic views from the windows. But the upside of this is that the Dwarkadheesh temple and gomti creek and beach are at walkable distance (5 to 15 minutes.)

The Hotel has a restaurant, but was not operational when we visited. The basic snacks offered by Room Service like Toast, Sandwiches, Tea, Coffee etc. were quite good.

If I visit Dwarka again, I will definitely stay at this Hotel

i should start off by saying i'm a hotel snob so i'm highly critical of all hotels. i was very hesitant to stay in dwarka b/c it's such a small town but the options in porbandar and jamnagar looked mediocre at best and driving around dwarka all the other 'hotels' looked sketchy. so we were all so pleasantly surprised when we arrived at hotel damji. the staff is courteous and the rooms are clean and modern. the hotel was built in 2008. the a/c works well; the hotel is insect free; the bathrooms have western toilets (but no toiletpaper...bring your own). the location is great b/c it's walking distance from the dwarkadish temple. the food at the restaurant downstairs is truly amazing but the cleanliness there is suspect. the only real problem i had with the hotel was with the hot water in the bathroom. if you get up early, then you have to let the water run for at least 10 minutes (what a waste of water) to finally get some hot/lukewarm water to come through to the shower. the first day we took cold showers...not fun.

Decent clean hotel with decent service and helpful staff. Though rooms are small, they are well decorated. Just keep in mind: food options are Gujarati Thaali & Marwari Thaali. You may have to eat outside though Dwarka has few restaurants.

I stayed in Hotel Damji while visiting Dwarka in January 2010. The rooms are well maintained and the service is also good. Besides its quite close to the temple. But the most horrible part about it is the food i.e the hotel's restaurant named 'Aarti'. The chef has no idea of what he is making. I was served a spicy vegetable when i ordered a sweet vegetable and the manager was more than willing to give me the bull**** that in Gujarat that particular vegetable is spicy. (i have eaten in a lot of places in gujarat and know that even in gujarat that vegetable is not spicy.) besides evein in the bill we were charged extra... but after a disappointing meal we were in no mood to argue so just paid up and left.
My recommendation: Stay in Hotel Damji but dont make the mistake of eating in their restaurant Aarti.

Well, every one will tell that thisis the best hotel in dwarka, i don't know that if its true or not, but i was not overall satisfied. the rooms but good, but rates were high. if you are planning a stay in the hotel, dare not take an extra bed. room service is a night mare. there is a food problem in this hotel, as the hotel restaurant hardly offer's anything and room service provides only tea and sandwiches.

I stayed at this hotel in Dec 2008.
Having arrived in Dwarka, our hosts recommended that we find a hotel to get a spot of lunch. We came across this hotel. The food was good, however the restaurant tried to rip us off our bill, having added on a few meals we hadn't had.
That evening after our function finished, we were driven to the hotel we would we staying at... oh dear, it was the Damji. Having put the earlier experience down to a one-off coincidence, we thought all would be well. At one point I was showering at around noon. There was no hot water, so I thought 'whatever, it's India, just roll with it'. Two minutes later the electrics went. I rang reception with shampooed eyes who said that they don't do hot water during the day and 'I wouldn't need the electrics as it was sunny outside'. Err... right. When I questioned her further she put the phone down on me.
When I ordered room service, I waited for half an hour, then got the wrong order.
As average as the hotel was for a no-frills two-night stay, I would NEVER go back. And before I'm dismissed as a poo-pooer, please check out my glowing review of the Hotel Kuber in Porbandar.
