Dolmaar resort gave me great service. Their staff knows how to pamper the guest. Location of this resort is superb. We went for trekking in the heavenly location near the resort. Though it was steep but was worth it. Thanks Dolmaar

I booked this hotel for our 2 days stay in Bhujighat and it is a unique place, really. We have stayed at many hotels, but the Dolmaar is one of the best hostel, I’m sure I will still fondly remember the vacation I had there.

It is the perceptive and friendly service that makes it worthwhile staying in this hotel. The owners and staff are social at just the right level and they go to great length to make you feel at home.

Even my family, who did not stay in the hotel, was received with open arms and exceptionally generously when they came to visit.

This said, there is nothing wrong with the facilities. The room we had was spacious and pretty, the breakfast is good. It’s a relaxing and quiet place – one where you really don’t mind spending an afternoon or two with a good book.

And as many people have written before. Dolmaar Resort is a place you would definitely come back to and recommend to your friends. Thank you very much for making our stay so pleasant!!!

We chose Dolmaar for our family's new year celebration based on the suggestions we got from friends..... and indeed it proved to be a wonderful choice.

We had a great afternoon at Nainital on the new-years eve & then drove back to Dolmaar (only about half an hours' drive from Nainital !!!!) for a memorable family get-together.

As the evening came in this picturesque place, we gathered around a nice campfire and enjoyed a quiet & private family time.... It was unique experince for us to have dinner by a camp-fire; the staff was courteous & food was fine with choices for all tastes.

After welcoming the new year, we retired to our cottage tents.

Next morning came sparkling with sharp sunshine though the weather was nippy (December / January is cold here).

We left the resort with definite plans to stay during summers; we intend to use the stay to visit the entire Lake District of Nainital (lakes like SatTal, BhimTal, NauKuchiaTal) as Dolmaar is very conviniently located on the Highway to Nainital.

Overall, it was a delightful & refreshing experience.

Thanks.

A week spent under the cover of thick foliage, mountains, amazing flora and fauna and that too in a place as beautiful and attractive as Dolmaar Resorts is a God given opportunity. I have been to many places all over India but not has beckoned me as Dolmaar Resorts has as it has a striking picturesque vicinity. A catchy landscape from every room, a beautiful family pool, amazing gardens down the slopes and playing area is what paints up more than one can image. The location is a paradise of Artists, Photographers and Poets. The vicinity in enthralling with friendly villagers and well mannered staff at Dolmaar Resorts. The service is rather more friendly and that's what takes professionalism to its heights. I will make sure that I keep visiting to Dolmaar Resorts regularly as I don't recall any other place where I went in as a stranger and came back leaving friends behind. I advice those who read this to visit this place once and I am sure he or she would thank me for the advice.

Though I made booking in this resort cause maximum resorts were already soldout. Dolmaar's location came out as an surprise to me. This is a nice place to stay with kids, Though Food was excellent but service is late may be because rooms are located far from kitchen.

Mr.Keshav and Siddhant are really helpfull and can make your trip memorable. They arranged for a safari for us at corbett park which we could'nt book on our own as the corbett people told us "entry is full"

Do not forget to visit Corbett Fall which is 40 kilometer from Dolmaar resort.

Hello Friends,

We made sudden plans to visit Nainital on a weekend. Usually I do R&D on hotels using Google and then book the sam however as this was a sudden trip so I decided to book the hotel using cleartrip. I booked Swiss tents in Dolmaar resort and I got the confirmatory email from Cleartrip however on checking with the hotel I got to know that entire hotel was booked from 14th May to 16th May, I called the Cleartrip helpline and spoke with Sneha Chauhan(CSR), she confirmed that we will get a FREE UPGRADE to pool facing room, I asked her to confirm the same on an email which she did. Later on I confirmed the same with the resort so that I have no last moment surprises. Resort confirmed the Free Upgrade and we stayed there as per our plans. It is a newly built resort and still under condstruction. Electricity is a little problem out here however it is a common problem on all the hill stations. Resort is situated apprx 28 KMS before Nainital in a place called Bhujiaghat. We also a leopard crossing the road when we were coming back to our resort from Nainital at arnd 22.30 pm in the night, it was huge may be 11 feet from head to tail....this was the best part of our entire journey. We also went to Kausani and enjoyed the Authentic Kumaoni food along with the Orthodox tea from the tea estates of Kasauni.

I booked dolmaar for our vacation as I wanted to stay in peace and relax with family. Dolmaar is an ideal place to stay and visit Nainital. You can visit Nainital during the day, come back and relax here with natural surroundings. Service and food are also good to enjoy.
Coming to the areas of improvements:
1. Stairs have no railings so you need to be very careful while moving up and down.
2. The place is relatively hot so they need to arrange AC.
3. Rooms are good but as its surrounded by nature, one may find spiders, lizards etc in the rooms/bathrooms.
4. Billiards room is there but not well maintained.
5. Shower room of pool was not in good condition.
6. The place should have proper boundary walls for safety. While playing basketball our ball was about to go to the valley but luckily it got stuck on a tree.

Although these can be ignored if you just wanna relax in your room and enjoy nature but for those who want to avail all the activities published, above points may disappoints. I hope they will improve on those points and make it a good place to visit again.

One more thing, in the package they advertised about surprise gift but there wasn't any surprise or any gift ;)

Firstly, most reviewers complained that the hotel is too far away from Nainital. YES, it is. But Its clearly mentioned on their website and they do not hide the fact. The hotel is about 8kms from Kathgodam Railway station and 30kms from Nainital.

Being away from Nainital, its not as cool as on the hills and hence best avoided in summer, but the place offers you a quiet time where you can just rest and do nothing much. The hotel is built on the slopes of a hillock looking down into a small valley. There is a pool to relax, they have basketball and badminton facility, but nothing beats having a cup of coffee watching the clouds eclipse the hillocks across the valley. A stream flows through the valley which though not visible from the rooms, gives out a beautiful sound interspersed with chirping from birds.

Overall quality of rooms is basic but good with nothing much to complain. The biggest grouse is with the food. Probably since we traveled in the off-season, our choices were limited, but the meals were minimal and repetitive. Probably because we were restricted because of the package deal, but still we did not find the cuisine to be par excellence. Not bad but slightly boring. The biggest downside of the menu was the lack of local cuisine, which is a big minus.

The staff is helpful without being the most efficient and billing was pretty straightforward and hassle free.

I would recommend this place to a adventure traveler or to someone who's looking for leisure away from the din. A local taxi can be hired for a one day trip to Nainital and on another day you can drive up to Naukuchiyatal, Bhimtal and maybe Binsar.

I spent 2N and 3D at Dolmaar resort with my wife and daughter in November. The stay was relaxing and resort staff was really helping in nature.

Pros:
• It’s a beautiful resort away from city life and has swimming pool, pool table, basketball and other things to relax and pass time.
• Hotel has a small river not so clean but running in the valley where this resort is located. The river side walk was rally pleasant.
• The food is good.
• If you are with family or friends and just want to spend some quality time in hill station away from city life it’s a relaxing place.

Cons:

• Is 25km away from main Nanital city and this make trips to Nanital and nearby places lengthy and costly.
• While going to Nanital via bus you can ask the driver to drop you on this resort, but while coming back you will have to catch your bus from Nanital. Else get cab booked and go wherever you want.
• Resort has nothing near it like market, eating outlets, shops, place to see.
• Rooms are not having great luxury items but all what’s required.

Overall I would recommend this resort if want to be away from city life and planning a vacation to just relax. Not for those who want to explore Nanital and near by places of interest.

Cheers!!

We decided to avoid the crowd in Nainital, by staying in a resort some distance away and make day trips to Naninital. We did a websearch and selected Dolmarr. The place good good and the room rate offered was high,This we assumed was a furter assurance of a good hotel.
We got a shock when we reached the resort. It was a dhaba with a few rooms attached, bang on the highway with traffic wizzing past at high speed. From the receptiion which was one step from the highway the access to the rooms was down a crazy staircase with no hand rails -- a high safety hazard.
The room was large but shabbily furnished and a fair population of cockroaches and large spiders. The water in the bathroom tap was so muddy that for the first time we used bottled water to brush our teeth
The dining room was also a shabby shack and less said about the food the better.
The swimming pool was also filled with muddy water.
We did find a few positives. The staff tried to provide good service and the scenic view from the bedroom

Stayed in this hotel for two nights. The hotel is located 20 odd kms away from the city. Depending on the requirment the location can be disadvantageous as it is a atleast an hour from the city. For others who wish to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city - good place. Hotel has a decent view. On the service front except for the guy (Karan) who was attending us - none of them seem interested (it could be because the rooms are allotted to individuals - it was evident). Room were decent but cleanliness was an issue. We had taken two family rooms - one of them had a bird nest right on top of the bed. The bed sheet always had some dirt because of that. The second night the roof sheet came loose due to heavy rain and winds, which made a lot of noise and it made it difficult to sleep. When spoken to - nothing was done to take care of it. We were on the package tariff but unfortunately the package did not inlcude most of the items on the menu card. The quality of food can definitely be much better.

Overall - an ok experience because of the View/Karan and not so ok because of the cleanliness and the cost (maybe I should have negotiated better)

I was not been informed that Dolmaar Resorts was far from the proper Nainital. Nainital is around 30 kms away from the hotel and it takes 1 hr to reach with spending Rs.1500 for car rental, just a waste of my money. Dolmaar Resort was hot and not cold as informed to me. Whereas proper Nainital (where I intended to stay) was cold and to be true needed no ACs in the room. Secondly, what the resort promised by way of other recreational activities is just a blatant lie which even Trip Advisor do advocate in their website... it is not worth really speaking.

1. Dangerous location: firstly there is almost no place for parking. The entrance is so much on to the traffic road,we were about to be hit by the speeding vehicle while unloading our luggage. It can not be called a 'Resort' but for a losy swimming pool.

2.Bad service: we were tiered and asked for coffee to be served in the lounge as we were made to wait for the rooms to be cleaned. They refused point blanc.

3. DANGEROUS STEPS: there are lot of steps all around and dangerously steep.MOST IMPORTANTLY,THE STEPS ARE RUGGED,UNEVEN AND ABOVE ALL WITH VARIED HEIGHTS.
NORMALLY,THE STEPS ARE 8/9 " HIGH BUT THESE STEPS ARE SO Haphazard THAT ONE IS SURE GET HURT.

4.DANGEROUS FLOOR: The corridor for 4 rooms given to us has floor made out of iron bars. The bars between the bars is wide enough ( one can see the floor down below) for ladies high heels to give way.My wif'e's shoe got stuck and luckily she was not hurt.

5.CHEATING: Their website saying that it is located in Naintal is a blatant lie.It is 20 km down and away from Naintal.

6.LOOTING: there were two bachelors apart from 3 families. and we originally asked for two single rooms along with 3 double rooms. But later on arrival, the two agreed to share one room.We checked in to 4 rooms and went up to Naintal.Next morning while checkout ,the manager charged for the 5th room also adamantly and refused to give the director or owners phone no to report the matter.

I am going to report to Tourism dept about the dangerous steps and floor and their cheating advertisements and suggest for the cancellation the hotels licence.I regret to have forgotten to take photos in my anger while settling the bill.

We are wondering how any kind of compliments could come for such a hopeless hotel.I am wondering if they were cooked up by the hotel's owners.
Never dare to try this one just because it is on the way to Naintal.

I had the misfortune to book a holiday through Dolmaar tours and travels for a couple of nights at Dolmaar resort. I was given the impression that the hotel is at Nainital and after reaching the hill station I called to find the location of the hotel and was asked to come back downhill 28 km! This resort is nowhere near the beautiful Nainital. Of course, we could not go back down the hill that late in the evening and had to run around to find rooms in Nainital itself. Dolmaar refused to refund any amount and we were forced to come down and stay at the Dolmaar resort for the second night. No one seems to come there and the rooms (and even the bedsheets) were covered in dust. We spent much of the time sneezing that night. The toilet was not working in one of the rooms and the 'Swiss Luxury tent' provided also did not meet any standards. One does not feel secure in a flimsy tent with workmen (they seem to be building more rooms there) swarming around the place.
The manager was definitely not helpful, while some of the support staff were. Rooms are not clean and one does leave the place feeling cheated. If one is adventurous enough, one can have the same hardships sleeping at the nearby railway station without paying through your nostrils.
The location is nice, though.

Regards,
