We enjoyed our stay at Chirmi Palace a lot, and will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet yet central place to stay while visiting Jaipur.

The buildings are old, but well maintained and thus only serves to complete the image of a genuine, old-style heritage hotel. The peaceful garden is wonderful to enjoy the hotels well-prepared meals in, and in general ideal for relaxing from a busy day of sightseeing around Jaipur. The staff is friendly and the service good, and the owners personally welcoming us made us feel at ease from the start.

Our room was very spacious, and nicely furnished and decorated in a style that fits the vintage hotel buildings. Two adjustable roof fans and a quiet AC made for perfect temperature. Contrary to what another commenter said, both wardrobe locker and value safe was available in our room, as well as hot water (as with most places in India, you just have to switch on the hot water boiler in the bathroom first!)

This is an excellent family-run hotel, centrally located on a quiet side street . The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable and good value for money. Touches of history, like the antique carved doors, remain. Clean, large bathrooms with showers.

Very polite staff, always ready to help. The owners live in an extension on the property and are friendly and attentive.

There is a little garden in front where traditional puppet shows are held some evenings. Nice place to relax after a long day! Limited parking on the street is the only minus point here.

The quaint dining room (for residents only) offers a selection of Indian and a few Western dishes, you have a choice of vegetarian or non-vegetarian dishes made to order.

Nice and clean hotel hotel in a quiet residential area of town, all major attractions within 10 mins rickshaw ride. We stayed at the ground floor corner room and the warm and caring staff made our stay a pleasure. Good food cooked to order, and excellent guidance to the right shops and palaces. Great value for the money!!

I was back already for the second time at this beautiful little jewel in the middle of busy Jaipur, because I liked so much the feeling of being able to stay in a real old little Raja City Palace, even on a smaller budget, and to enjoy it's unique atmosphere there, filled with pictures and many stories of Indian history, which the owners may tell you about, over a cup of tea, or a drink at their newly opened courtyard bar.

You'll hear stories like...that a photograph of one of their ancestors, a highest ranking General in the Indian Army in the 40's, suddenly became the model for the emblem of the package of John Player Special Cigarettes, back then....and the original photograph is hanging right there, in the courtyard...or stories, which will even take you back hundreds of years, through the adventurous history of the owners family and their former City Palace.

Don't go there, if you are expecting 5 Star amenities or Western style cleanness and comfort - after all, it's an old City Palace turned into a hotel - and that's exactly the unique charm of the place! The rooms are either cosy romantic hideaway style, with antique wooden doors, in a tiny little courtyard on the first floor. Or they are spacious, with separate big bathrooms with showers, AC and heater, writing table and separate seating area, TV and even Wireless Internet access.

And the staff is extremely nice and very helpful, be it with an e-ticket, massage or ayurveda booking or a private tour, or even by washing the precious delicate blouse, that you don't want to give out for cleaning, right there in front of your eyes.

It's a small place, with only 20 something rooms, so the atmosphere is one of family...especially, as the owners themselves live in the back, and the courtyard veranda is like their own front court veranda, where you'll see Papa and Mama reading the paper in the morning with a cup of tea, and the son chat with his friends in the evening. And, if you are lucky and passing by at the right moment, you might as well get spontaneously invited to one of their swimming poolside barbecues in the Palace's backside Garden...

So go and check it out, even if you are staying somewhere else in Jaipur or just passing by, because it is really worth the experience! And don't miss to have a look at the antique dining room, filled with painted murals...!

The rooms were big and quit clean. The staff was very helpful. The dinner was also really good, espcially the homemade Thali.

The odd sounding chirmi palace is definitely worth a stay when passing through jaipur. we pretty much showed up and the door without a reservation and were shown both standard and deluxe rooms. The standard room that was shown looked suspiciously like a set-up; a room so terrible, you wouldn't want to stay in any room other than the deluxe.

The deluxe room was rather nicely done up with a traditional double bed, sitting furniture and the usual spoils. The bar and the dining room deserve special mention; these appear to have crawled out of their own brand of avant garde cinema, and are a definite addition to the overall appeal of the place.

At 1900, the deluxe rooms are a bit pricey. Although we were able to negotiate a 1750 tariff inclusive of breakfast, only to later realise that the upper tariff is 1800 for a deluxe according to their own website.

A recommended stay, atleast for one night.

Don't miss the same building extending over and across the boundary wall, where after the partition of the family property, the "other brother" runs his own hotel, cheaper at 450 rupees for a double.

We stayed at the Chrimi Palace in November and loved the place. The Chirmi Palace is a 160 year old residence converted into a hotel with 24 well equiped very clean rooms with AC and ensuite bath with hot and cold water. The rooms are furnished in Rajputana style and very comfortable. There is a restaurant on site with a limited menu, but the dining room is a jewel itself with old frescos. Breakfast can be taken outside near the swimming pool. We enjoyed this place very much, sitting in the garden and relaxing in a quiet surrounding after a day sightseeing. The staff has been very attentive and guests are taken personal care by the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Vikram Singhji. The hotel is situated 1 km from the railway and bus station and a taxi ride to the monuments to visit is at nearly no cost.

While mostly clean and quite, this place is slowly dying. We never saw anybody else staying there and there is zero atmosphere. For the cost, there are certainly better places in town.

I was attending the literary festival in Jaipur and was put up at this hotel by some acquaintances in Jaipur. The place was a small palace/haveli converted into a hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. They beds could have been better - they were slightly creaky. The only problem was the hot water - you had to switch on the hot water a while before it actually started working. Else, no complaints considering how cheap it was. Decent bar too.

It is supposed to be a heritage hotel. it has bare minimum facilities. Old hotel with old rooms. Beds are quite old and creaking. No locker facility in the rooms. Rooms are dingy. There was no hot water supply in the room. Breakfast was very basic.

Well I guess i thought that we would get a decent room but room was just ok .Bathrooms were not good and when I contacted them they told me that tariff is inclusive of all taxes but at check out time they added 8% tax saying that they never mentioned anything about tax.Food was very expensive and very poor. The chapati that you get for Re 1 was sold for Rs. 8. and even the best restaturants won't have that much of hike as compared to quality.

Ze waren de buitenboel aan het schilderen.
De kamers waren slecht onderhouden, badkamer slecht.
ontbijt was redelijk.
Ziet er op het eerste gezicht beter uit dan het is.
Zwembad vies, geen stoelen in de tuin om op te zitten.

A worthless palace. Would ask you to sleep at a railway station than here. Unfriendly staff, broken rooms and dirty .

Nothing about this hotel is good- awful rooms, dilapidated structure, terrible food, impolite staff.... it takes away the crown for being the worst hotel i have ever visited. The rooms are in need of some renovation... the bathrooms seem ancient..... there is not much choice when it comes to food... whatever it serves is also below average. The staff are impolite. It isnt all that expensive but it is not worth even for the price it charges.

Give yourself a favour and stay away from this place. Rooms are dusty, disguisting, old and the staff tries to charge you as much as they can for everything. There is enough hot water for 3-min shower but nothing longer. We were scared to eat their breakfast. For this price you can find many other nicer places in this city!
